Always funny to see fans spin a bad story about their school
Oregon state

This is already comical from them.
They're actually trying to argue that he never actually committed at all because, and I quote verbatim:
quote:
a commitment and a signee are the same thing.
Putting aside how idiotic that statement is to begin with, direct transfers from one four-year college to another don't even sign Letters of Intent in the first place.

context is a wonderful thing. Combs and Waters both committed and signed the same day. So yes in terms of them it is essentially the same thing.

Combs is transferring from a 4 year school to another 4 year school. So what did he sign?
I'm assuming financial aid papers. Not a letter of intent though.
Again, it's a lengthier process. And it's a different process for every student athlete and at every school to get released from their school and get to the next one.
Maybe LSU was smart and wanted to hold off on making things official until his legal status was more clear. But don't you think LSU would have come out in the last 48+ hours and said something if this kid lied about committing to LSU?
Kavell Bigby-Williams is an LSU commit. Just admit it. You're pathetic trying to deny it.

On the other page you laid out your hypothetical, even if it is likely.
I don't even disagree about it being unlikely Oregon knew nothing about it and the newspaper released something about it the day after he announced his transfer. But don't pretend like you are just giving us the facts.
I mean we can pretend lots of things can happen, but as you said, some are quite a bit more likely outcomes than others.

Maybe Avery at Bama will take him. Their football program has already set the precedent that they're okay with bringing in guys convicted of violence against women.
So you're saying if he had stolen a laptop he would be playing for the barn next year!

No, but maybe if he bought a stolen laptop, that somebody else had stolen...

Remember that time Malzahn let a guy on the team stay on until he left on his own for "personal reasons" while under investigation for rape?

Rice left "on his own" the same way Tuberville and Dye "resigned"

You should try casting stones with a mirror next time:
So the alleged rape happened on Auburn's campus in April, she filed the report in July with campus officials, he continued to be on the team until September when he left. So your coaching staff/university knew about the alleged rape for almost 2 months before he finally called it quits.
quote:
Former Auburn tight end Landon Rice is accused of first-degree rape in an incident report with the Auburn Police Department filed on July 27 by an unidentified 19-year old female.
quote:
The incident allegedly happened in the late hours of April 12 in the South Donahue Residence Hall
quote:
Coach Gus Malzahn announced Rice had left the football program following the team’s game on Sept. 10 against Arkansas State for “personal reasons.”

Yes, the same day that the details came out that made it clear Rice was a POS he wad asked to leave the team and the school.
Auburn knew about the allegations for a month and a half, but as you know false allegations happen. That would be kind of shitty to kick a kid out of school only to find out a month later there was nothing to the allegations. As soon as the situation was clear, he wad gone.
There's a difference between waiting to see with a guy that's already on the team vs one that isn't. I imagine LSU is taking a similar wait and see approach by accepting his commitment but not offering financial aid papers yet. AKA doing the exact same thing AU did with Rice. Like you said:

What was that we were talking about on page 1 again? Those good old excuses was it?
But hey, let's go ahead and get outraged over a guy who verbally committed.

Auburn takes in thief's, even has to hire them.

Bama takes in thieves as well. Or do you call it a robber or mugger when you take what you steal by violently pummeling a fellow student.
Bama also takes in women abusers.
Way to look after the safety of your student body for the sake of football wins

We've never had one be the face of our program like you cheats did with the Newton hire.
And then backed it up with another QB kicked off a team, a guy who couldn't even speak in public, illiterate pos.
And you wonder why the nation laughs at Agurn. Two natty trips with QB's that were arrested and kicked off other teams.
