And in Alabama if you are caught DWI or drunk in public you lose your CCP if you are caught carrying and drunk.

Same in Tennessee; however, more times than not the possession of a firearm while intoxicated is dropped as part of the plea deal.

Ok, for starters I think going armed to a football game is a bad idea but when you make a statement like this little things like facts and history are not on your side.

See how many examples you can find of civilians legally using a gun in self defense where they hit an unintended target. It is going to take you a long time to find the very few times where it has happened.

Surprisingly, legally armed civilians are very reluctant to fire. You are far more likely to be hit by LE gunfire.

Why?

Seems unnecessary.

Is this a serious question?

Houses of worship are a very common target of mass shooting events.

How many mass shooting events have there been at churches in the United States?

a few prominent national stories: Wade Michael Page, Dylan Roof, Larry Gene Ashbrook to name a few. No clue what an actual number of mass shootings at Churches or Houses of Worship is nation wide.

Exactly. A few.

Seems a bit "scared of my own shadow" for a pastor to tell people in his church to come armed and sit at the doors.

O:

I'm all for conceal and carry... but at a sporting event, which is football and in the SEC?

If you wanna get rid or fat arse coach just bite the bullet, don't push it off on a fan with a gun.

Less than 6% of adults in Arkansas have a CWP. It's not a big deal.

CWP holders are also 14x less likely to break the law and 5x less likely to commit a violent crime.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson signed a law on Wednesday allowing weapons in various publicly funded buildings across Arkansas. The Razorbacks’ home football stadium is included, as are basketball’s Bud Walton Arena and other athletic venues at the university.

They revised the law. It no longer applies to stadiums and athletic venues.

It's a standard "campus carry" bill now.

It's not going to happen. A simple search on Twitter will back me up.

Has it passed the state house yet?

Including refs or not?

Bill is an enhanced carry law, you would have to take a course to qualify. Law has been passed and signed. State police have until January to set course so no one will be legally carrying this year. Senate has a bill running its course to exempt razorback games, so if passed it would be illiberal.

I like the law (except for games) as some places that you should be able to carry were off limits and are now allowed after you pass active shooter training.

I do not like states that give them to everyone, I feel training and being required to shoot AND score are a minimum.

Yes, I carry about 98% of the time. Right now I am on the beach in Florida fishing and I am carrying. Just looked at the rant cause nothing is biting.
