All I had to see was Hugh Kellenberger and I stopped reading. I don't think you could have picked anyone less creditable than him to try to prove your point.

I'm sure we could have found someone less credible. Its a big world

that's my favorite part. WOW

It would make my year if Bjork held a press conference and announced that Ole Miss was withdrawing from the NCAA and starting a new league, then invited others to join them. It would be a great WTF moment.

That's my point. They just make a ridiculous "who's coming with me" announcement and get crickets. I am just trying to have humor in this mess.

Kellenbweger meant how Bjork has been trying to get the cooperation achievement in the NCAA investigation and has been sitting back and letting the NCAA do what they want. He was saying at some point OM and Bjork have to change their stance, aka fight back and tell the NCAA to go frick themselves but I don't see that happening.

Heck, if it's already on fire, why not just burn it completely out? Quicker it's out, the quicker you can start over.

I was told y-day by an Ole Miss fan that everything in the NOA was self reported by Ole Miss.
I don't remember hearing that before, is that true?

I sure hope so.

Probably everything outside of th ACT stuff was self reports. Explains why the NCAA can't find anything and are doing anything they can to hammer "Dem Cheatin Bearz".

The investigation is still in progress.
The fact that the head NCAA powers gave the investigators carte blanche to offer immunity proves that those investigators have a solid case already built. Now the investigators are in the process of corroborating stories between the OM Administration the players from the numerous other teams they interviewed this summer.
There isn't much fighting back now. For years OM has been forthcoming and cooperative with the NCAA, they've aided the investigation in an exemplary fashion, so it would do no good to tell them to go frick themselves now.

quote:Well hell, the stuff y'all self reported lead to 8 Level I violations...that's damaging in and of itself isn't it? And the NCAA is still snooping around a few states gathering evidence.

I hear another SI article is coming soon. Supposedly it's going to shed some light on some of the boosters.

They were LvL 1 violations. They will be argued and OM expects there to be less than that when they get their day to explain themselves. It may not change but the OM administration is expecting it to.

This is correct. It was a HS coach that supposedly received money, not Means' family. Never a money trail or any proof only the testimony of Secret Witness Fat Phil.
