And because a player at a rival school says that you think the NCAA will just take that? They have to have some proof of it.
Nope, not at all. No booster is stupid enough to write a check or get a money order to send to a prospect.
The NCAA relies SOLEY on what we would call heresay. Testimony from players at other schools, coaches, former players, etc. The NCAA does not have and does not want subpoena power so there is no burden of proof on them. The NCAA is a single entity that governs itself. it can do whatever it want. Proof means absolutely nothing to them. In our Means case, not one single shred of any payment was proven. Only one memphis native who "claimed" he gave the money to Means family. That was it and we got frickin hammered. No pictures, no witnesses saw him, no money trail, nothing. Proof means jack to the NCAA if they want you bad enough. Their proof is a middle of the road program getting 5 star players all of a sudden...seriously. That gets their attention faster than players admitting they took money.

Oh really? The NCAA coerced a lie/confession (depends on who you believe) out of Lester Earl by threatening his eligibility when he wanted to transfer. He cooperated and brought down Dale Brown and got the LSU hoops program put on one of the worst probations short of the death penalty. He later recanted everything and said the NCAA offered him an easy-out transfer to Kansas in exchange for going along with what they told him.
Now, Lester Earl could very well be lying now about lying then. Maybe he wasn't coerced. However, even if that is the case, all it took to bring the hammer down on LSU was the word of one disgruntled player who was transferring out of the program. They wanted to hit Dale Brown for a long time because he ran his mouth and complained about them constantly. However they got the testimony from Earl really doesn't matter. The NCAA wanted to hit him hard and did it on the word of one guy.
Bottom line- if the NCAA has an ax to grind, they will find or manufacture something, no matter how flimsy it is. After all of Freeze's public denials, followed by the Tunsil bombshell, you can bet they are sharpening up that ax as we speak.

This was such a petulant little sophomoric article. "Dear NCAA: We're angry. So we're going cross out little arms and try out best to embarrass you." Is the NCAA the only adult in the room here? Ole Miss lives matter!

recruit at a rival school is more trustworthy than a coach at OM? That is a shaky argument.
OJ Simpson is more trustworthy that your current OM coach.

You're getting all of your information from a tatted up, corn-rowed, thief, drug addict felon who's essentially doing nothing but trolling for subscriptions from an equally disreputable and ignorant fanbase.
Perhaps you're Steve Robertson himself?

You left out a lot, for instance - it's already been proven ACT scores were rigged. Huge no-no. Secondly, we already know that Ole Miss was forced to admit to things where the Ncaa had solid evidence.
What is funny is that OM was cheating after their NOA. On top of that, the Ncaa has discovered far more damaging things and more dirty boosters. This after Ole Miss used the media to mislead and spin.
Ole Miss fans get what they deserve for accepting the word of the same people who time after time were proven wrong. Good God man, how many lies until Ole Miss fans quit being mad at the messenger and get mad as hell at their University and local media who misled them?
Biggest fools in the conference and that arrogant elitist attitude is going to come back and shove it right where it belongs.

I'm not talking huge $$ here - rumor is that OM was willing to pay $500 to get recruits just to visit. I suppose once they visited they would have gotten the low down on how much Barney could muster up for momma's monthly power bill.
I was told $2000 to visit and $500 was a "bonus" if they would not visit or mention a specific school during their recruitment. They would get $500 for every SEC school (specific ones OM was worried about) they agreed not to take an official to.

I thought it was the high school assistant coach got pissed off at the head coach because he didn't get any of the money and then went to the NCAA

Ole Miss is fricked. The NCAA wants Ole Miss to burn. When the NCAA wants you to burn, your going to burn. When Ole Miss goes from Mid 30s to what #5 in recruiting rankings, something is up with that. Ole Miss stole that recruit from Starkville. I was mad at our coaching staff for letting Brown slip but he was paid for. We all know what happened on draft day. Do you know who got the last laugh? Tunsil. He got paid twice and threw Ole Miss under the bus.

You left out several others. Wasn't it CJ Johnson that shocked Msu at the last minute by decommitting and going to Ole Miss and said "It's all business man, just business" when asked about the flip? He was a Msu fan which made it stand out even more.
I can imagine what "it's all business" might have meant.

Speaking of CJ Johnson, I believe he is from Philadelphia. If it is, I dated a girl that taught him in school. She told me that she was shocked when he went to Ole Miss.

Sounds like the NCAA is fishing with dynamite.....you know where all the dead fish float to the top.

I'll take his record against OM fans all day long on this stuff.......he's been right way more times than he's been wrong. Whereas OM seems to live in the "wordsmith" world, trying to say one thing, then when that is proven wrong, those "words" are twisted to mean something different.

Atlanta........ole piss will NEVER get to Atlanta with Bama and LSU in the west.
Neither Bama nor LSU had shite to do with us not making it last year. A fluke play and a timely penalty in OT against the piggies did.
The first part is true. However the Florida and Arkansas games epitomize WAOM.

I have no recollection of playing Florida last year.
