This is why I think Stricklin would not poach Mullen. It's not his love for MSU, but his respect for the conference as a whole. He just spent 6 years trying to keep SEC schools from poaching his head coaches and assistants, and I don't think he is anxious to become the Poacher rather than the Poachee. He wouls look outside the conference.

Plus, if its true that Foley and Mullen didn't get along, then remember that Foley still has an office down the hall and powerful boosters who are loyal to him.

Thats what i think also. Do you know really fires and hires coaches? Its the boosters. They use their money to their advantages.

The sheep on this board are like 0-140 when it comes to MSU coaching predictions. It's insane! Oregon is would be interesting for Mullen. But they have to want him first, and want him hugely, I mean bigly.

Mullen wouldn't go to Florida. Mrs. Mullen wouldn't either. Been there done that. Loafers wouldn't be on board either.

Explain that me!!! You are calling for Mullen when McElwain is still head coach.

There's actually no panic at all. Everyone in Starkville is reasonably content right now, even happy. But back to UF, I can't see why Biscuit Head would leave Florida for Oregon, when he's playing for the SEC champ. Sounds like a bunch of noise to me.

Mullen went 5-7 this year and smoked a cigar in the press conference after the 12th game... Think about that.

If he wins his bowl game he'll probably get a raise this offseason... He already makes 4.5 million a year... Why would anyone leave that situation ?

Did they have y'all repeat this over and over at the Rebels Anonymous meeting? Are OM fans dismayed that Mullen and MSU are happy about the Egg Bowl?

Dan Mullen didn't get the contract extension that he wanted last year, and that was after 2 successful seasons and negotiating with a much less confrontational AD. He has some leverage this year in the fact that he and MSU are further down the road and a deal needs to get done, but Cohen expects to beat OM's arse so that game won't merit x$

Y'all stormed a field for going 6-6 and beating a 7-4 team. Get over yourself.
