Did you watch Mississippi State this year?

Their QB ran over, around and through your team and mine.

They're a few players and some experience away from being right back where they were two years ago.

We'll concede that honor to this year.

Just look at Fitzgerald stats compared to Alabama freshman Jalen Hurts, the lone SEC player in the Heisman Trophy conversation. Fitzgerald has thrown for 2,287 yards with 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 1,243 yards and is tied for the league lead with 14 rushing touchdowns. Hurts has thrown for 2,454 yards with 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions, but he has fewer rushing yards (840) and rushing touchdowns (12).

Now that's not to say that Fitzgerald should be a Heisman contender -- playing for the nation's No. 1 team still means something -- but he shouldn’t be overlooked as a quarterback, either, especially heading into 2017.

We got alot of idiots at State. They are praising Dan since State beat Ole Miss but wasn't so quiet before. I guess every fan base has those idiots.

Dan Mullen is the 2nd best coach in the SEC. There's no way MS State will get rid of him.

He's had one winning conference seaon. This doesn't bode well for the conference then.

He's had Dak and a few other really solid players. But he has also padded his record with some solid cupcake material.

That said, he beat Ole Miss this year so he's good for another three or four seasons.

I can predict Dan's future for 2017.

- MSU will be picked to finish last in the SEC West.
- MSU will not finish last in the SEC West.

Fitzgerald's stats are higher because he had to play full games against teams like Samford in order for State to win

Mullen to Oregon is gaining traction. Mullen thought he had the Miami job til Georgia fired Richt and he kind of phoned it in in recruiting last year because of it.

Everyone that I know from Oregon thinks it will be Fleck and that they will announce this weekend.

Just like Miami, Oregon isn't going to hire Mullen. Not because they can't, but because a new coach isn't worth the buyout +5 mil a year to them. Especially when their other "top tier" targets currently only make about 500k a year.

Since Mullen has finished above Ole Miss 6 out of his 8 years in the conference standings, Ole Miss needs to go to the SWAC asap.

Croom left. Mullen ran Relf up the middle for a few games while until he learned an actual offense. Russell and Croom met each other at the door.

The original statement was QBS will not be a problem under Mullen not QB recruiting
