Since Mullen has finished above Ole Miss 6 out of his 8 years in the conference standings, Ole Miss needs to go to the SWAC asap.

Dude's been 5th or tied for 5th 5 out of 8 years.
He is 60-42 total, but only 29-35 in conference.

I realize the Egg Bowl Win has reignited the rebsession, but this thread isn't about Ole Miss or our craptastic year, this is about Mullen's coaching prowess. Maybe today he's second best, but if so, our conference is kind of weak. If you want to pull the "does the most with the least card," I'm going Mason all day. Maybe even Stoops. If you van win at Kentucky or Vandy, you've really done something imo. Mullen is great at quarterbacks no doubt, but second best overall? The Sun Belt disagrees.

I think we can all agree State has become QBU.

Did you really just say Mason and stoops are 2 of the best coachs in the conference?

Yep. Mullen gets solid 3 star diamonds and State cares about football. Kentucky is all b-ball, and Vandy cares more about baseball and academics. Stoops is a stretch, but I would take Mason over Mullen as a total package. I'll say this, Mason's guys play hard for 4 quarters every game. Can't say that for everyone. The original statement was QBS will not be a problem under Mullen not QB recruiting

So you think that QBs recruited for a Croom offense have no impact on how a QB performs in a Mullen offense?

I would imagine I'm in the majority thinking that Mullen got more production out of the Croom QB recruits than we could have rightly expected.

I believe we shouldn't be too worried about QBs going forward because Dan will continue to recruit better QBs like Key and develop the ones that don't have 'stars' but fit his system like Fitz.

You wanna "say this" one more time? We didn't understand the first time.
