How do you say these are overhyped when you go on to say how they aren't overhyped...

i know everyone keeps naming the TSIO, but how much "hype" has that game actually received lately? in my opinion, no one has talked about it much the past 10 or so years, so how is it being viewed as "overhyped"? it's still a rivalry game, not sure how anyone can say it isn't, but it's not like people act like it's one og the games of the season anymore to qualify it as overhyped

shite ole miss/arkansas isn't considered a rivalry by anyone that i'm aware of.

It is by a demographic of people who witnessed just how nasty the teams were towards each other, how much hate filled the stadiums between the fans back in the 50s until the series had to be suspended due to violence between the fans.

Since you consider TSIO to be a "rivalry" based on ancient history, you should not ignore the true hate the schools had between each other at one time, even tho no fan under the age of 60 would consider it to be a rivalry today...

I don't think you know what overhyped means. Move to Alabama for a year and live among Bama and AU fans. Observe for yourself a hatred that burns as hot as a thousand suns. Then see if you think it is "overhyped".

It is the best rivalry in the SEC and it isn't even close.

lol, ancient history. TSIO October was a huge game as recently as 2005 when both teams were in the top 15 when the game was played. that game's importance is not nearly as ancient as the supposed ole mis arkansas "rivalry." the only reason it even came up again was when nutt went to oxford. people act like tennessee has been what they are for decades. they played in the sec title game 3 times in the 2000s alone and as recently as 7 years ago. just because ut has been bad for a little over 5 years now doesn't mean a game played every year between the two most historically successful teams in sec history is somehow forever tarnished.
