Trees were poisoned because of the rivalry. The rivalry doesn't exist because the trees were poisoned.

not to mention that any fan outside of the two that have been to an IB will tell you it is one of the most incredible things to witness.

Forbes
NBC
Nielsen Ratings

seems the world disagrees

The arrogance of your ignorance is reminiscent of the porkers. The lack of respect for your new conference, especially in regards to the charter members will not be forgotten.

Since you have your new awesome rival, it will be tFlagship of the East vs tFlagship of the West and you will always be looking in from the outside, never understanding or appreciating the conference that you are in. You will always be basking in your greatness and showing the SEC how it's really done, how to play real American football while at the same time getting your head handed to you and never understanding why or how.

If you think Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina are lightweights your god damn idiot. Like the porkers, more than likely you will never be able to recruit at the level of these teams and I haven't even touched on the West.

Watch Arkansas....... that is your destiny.

Also, we have more SEC championships
I don't like taking up for Mizzoo in anything but this is stupid. you should have more SEC championships than them they have only been in the conference for 2yrs. Sorry to be captain obvious here.
Misery has a total of 15 conference titles
Arkansas has a total of 13 conference titles
Ole Miss has a total of 6 conference titles

Yeah the IB is definitely not overrated, if Alabama were guaranteed a win, w/ the cost being TigerNick23 being shot, I guarantee you there would be a legion of shotgun carrying Updykes at his doorstep come nightfall. Auburn's a tad different, as shooting people isn't our style, we're more about sacrificing livestock to the football gods, worked like a charm last year.

The iron bowl is clearly the most over hyped!

However it is one of the best rivalries. I just think they promote it too much. It is no more of a intense rivalry than; Army-Navy, WLOCP, Red River, DSOR, TSIO, Cival War, COFH, Clemson-USC, UF-FSU, U-FSU, etc etc etc; to ANYONE outside the state of Alabama. It's just not!

Alabama vs Tennessee

I agree it sucks now, but it was a top 3 rivalry in the SEC until recently. Not our fault Tennessee sucks arse.

My vote goes to the Egg Bowl. I live in MS and have been to 3 Egg Bowls and never paid more than face for a ticket and every game atmosphere has been below SEC average at best.

obviously this MO fan has never been to the Iron Bowl and felt the passion & electricity.
Maybe the fact they have no real rivalries because no one cares about them is the reason.

The Eggbowl could be the most under hyped. Mullen said it was more intense than Fla-Fla St. I believe it's definitely more intense than some of the rivalries in the Big 12 and B1G. You could fall asleep at some of those games.

Iron Bowl
quote:

the winner went to the Natty the last 5 years... yes completely overhyped! the last one might go down in history as the top 5 game in sports... please do continue to show why mizzou does not belong here.

To be honest not many people care about the outcome of any bowl game if their team is not playing. They may care if it is a game that would affect their team's ranking.

BTW....this troll post seemed to achieve it's objective in rattling your cage. It should be ignored, as should your judgement of Mizzou's program based on one fan's troll.

get this part straight. We do not hype the iron bowl. We don't give a flying shite what anyone thinks. As far as I'm concerned they can take the damn trophy, turn it into a Pez dispenser and put it in the parking lot at Bryant Denny. We could care less what people thought 20 years ago, this year, or 20 years from now.

If it affects some other team so be it, we don't care.

Rivalries typically aren't intense for you personally when your team isn't involved.

Didn't you all run away from your big rival because you couldn't beat them at your best sport?
