I just don't like the idea of jet sweeps, PA passes off of them, passes off the option-read, or horizontal runs against that D-line unless you've established the running game up the middle. I foresee a lot of negative plays and sacks if Ole Miss is calling plays that take time to set up.

I thought you guys did a really nice job against Texas of doing what you should do in this game. In that case, what BYU did to Texas the week before sort of made Freeze stick to that game plan and show that they could stop it.

The read-option with Brunetti and short passes with Bo. A very similar gameplan to Texas.

I trust Freeze to see what needs to be done. He's been pretty solid at game-planning so far.

The only anomaly is Bama, and I think that just came down to Bama being Bama. They've shut pretty much everyone but TAMU down all season long.

We live on quick, short passes to the sidelines. It's been Freeze's bread and butter since he got here. If we can establish a straightforward run good enough to take advantage of PA, we'll be ok.

Mizzou can defend the bubble screen decently at times. Sure, one can break open for yards from time to time, but the defense, for years, went up against it with our own offense. We've gone away from so many bubble screens this year. A more traditional screen pass to the RB has been more successful against us, even after it's been run 10 times in a row. Personally, I'd run it every play until Mizzou showed it can stop it. Ok, slight exaggeration.

I saw that this weekend.

How can they screw that up?

Also, did Austin Golson break off a 31 yard run?

Actually, the Texas game was full of jet sweeps. They couldn't stop Scott on the outside. I have a feeling we will see more of the same of what we've been seeing. Try to establish the run up the middle.

if he hasnt been able to lift his arm for the majority of that time his timing and confidence are going to be pretty off. any mizzou fans know anything about how his recovery went? I know he obviously wouldnt be playing if the coaches didnt think he gave them the best shot to win, but it just seems hard to believe he could really be 100%.

He's been throwing the ball at "100%" for almost four weeks now according to the receivers and the coaching staff. They just wanted to give him time so that he would be fine taking a hit.

JF is the better game manager. The more accurate passer on all passes 20 yards or less. He's the better reader of coverage. A much more physical runner than Mauk.

The one and only think Mauk is better at right now is deep ball passes. He has the balls to take the risk.

This. Mauk throws a great looking deep ball but makes bad decisions and lacks touch on short passes.
