I didn't post here a lot in 2012 but I knew Mizzou was missing a few players to injury and Franlin wasn't healthy. That still doesn't hold any weight for the 2013 season. Mizzou wouldn't beat a Healthy Georgia or a Healthy Florida. They'd easily be a 10-2/9-3 team if you don't count the SEC championship if the East wasn't beat up. PURE SPECULATION.

FIFY

And Florida was 36-17 without our starting QB or best CB, I think that game goes our way regardless of who is or is not hurt for the gators

The fact remains, mizzou sucked hind tit the first year in the sec, and beat a down and injured east

And yet they still don't see it. So when Mizzou lost, it was because Mizzou sucked hind tit with no reference to the fact Mizzou has decimated with injuries. Yet, when Mizzou won, out came the "injured east" rhetoric.

LSU would have finished 4th in the east.

Fact

Unless Fl was healthy, then you would have finished 5th.

Might not, but when did you become all knowing? We almost beat both in 2012 despite our injury depleted team. Might win. Might lose. But you're just being an idiot when you say winning is impossible.

To summarize their position, 'it's a crappy division, but even in a crappy division, the least beat up team will win'..

bout covers it right?

Of course the same LSU fans will say Aubbie needed a couple of lucky bounces to get to Atlanta, and one of those came against an East team, had that bounce not occurred, the divisions would essentially be .500 last year. Stupid facts.

More facts. Mizzou beat Georgia by 15 in Athens. When was the last time LSU did that? We were up by one point early in the 4th quarter when Franklin got knocked out of the game. Mauk came in as the backup and scored two unanswered TDs.

The game against Florida wasn't competitive and was far more lopsided than the final scored of 36-17. Florida scored a TD on a 100 yard kickoff return. Florida had one drive of longer than 19 yards. Florida had 59 yards rushing on 1.9 yards per carry. Florida had 151 yards of offense. Mizzou had 500. That is a difference of 349 yards. Mizzou did this with their backup freshman QB.

The other side only has a point if EVERYONE can use the excuse. All of you told us in 2012 to shut up and get depth...we did that. Now when we say the same things to you that you said to us about not using injuries as an excuse, suddenly it's not fair. Most Mizzou fans have sided with you that the amount of injuries you had was ridiculous but 2 East teams in the top 5.....you gotta give some props, no?

You will find out that those excuses can only be used for Florida, Georgia or Tennessee. If anyone else has a great year it was only luck because those teams had bad years. I'm sure some of their titles were easier because South Carolina didn't have a great year but they don't use that excuse then. Missouri deserved the east last year. Enjoy it and we look forward to seeing you in our Columbia this year.

It's weird that all the schools in the East with championships think one way and those without think another. This could be the source if the truce between Mizz and sc. It's much needed so I hope that pans out.

Well Mizzou isn't going anywhere this year either. Enter Maty Mauk.

the team that won the West last year and a Texas team that's going to start threatening for division championships on a yearly basis? LSU fans really are in a whole different world of kool aid drinking.

You Yankees. Miles is 5&5 against 'Bams, 7-2 against Auburn and 3-0 against AtM. He's also got a substantial edge against east. The 12th winningest D-1 program of all time is doing just fine and will continue to throttle the majority of their SEC opponents for some time.

I get this from aTm and Mizzou. I really do. But to many of us, it's not a big deal. I'm not sure if that makes sense or not and it's certainly not intended as a flame to either of the new kids.

It's a big deal to us because we were told (repeatedly) we'd never win jack shite in the SEC.

As to the OP... None of the Mizzou ranters I know are cocky. The push back some have is in response to the bullshite we took (and continue to take) from a faction of the old guard here. "You don't belong", "We're gonna push your shite in", "Y'all didn't recruit SEC depth" blah, blah, blah.

We won the East last year when nobody gave us a chance in hell.

Were we lucky? idgaf. No luckier than Auburn was to win the West.

Their luck came on the field in back-to-back weeks to close the regular season, while ours came via our East opponents inability to overcome their injuries.

Regardless, it doesn't diminish the joy of the season or pride in the accomplishment.
