Ole Miss will still be on probation when Leo's son is being recruited

Probably already posted, but don't feel like sifting through multiple pages... just thought this response from Jordan Jenkins was pretty funny:

$65k I'm sure is what she meant and I'm not certain I'm buying that.. was Lewis that highly ranked/recruited?

4*

But he has some damned solid potential as a LB. This whole ordeal could cost him some cash come NFL time.

In the NCAA's rebuttal to OM's NOA response, their investigators pretty much said they didn't believe a word that came out of her mouth.

A lot of people shied away from recruiting Lewis. I could easily see a situation where once they got a little money, she started telling others it would cost X dollars to sign him, getting a "I'll see what I can do", and then telling all her buds so-and-so promised me this amount when in fact those recruiters went back and told their people to move on to another recruit.

That's pretty much what happened with Albert Means. He was shopped to a lot of people with the amount demanded varying depending on what they thought they could get for him. Lots of programs did the smart thing and walked away (or were warned off depending on what you believe) but some didn't and paid a big price.

Weird, I got a window that said "Post quantity and quality check" and returned to the rare triple post.

Honestly, I'm beginning to feel the same disdain for State as I do for Ole Miss. Bunch of snitches at State. No one likes a snitch. Just outlaw football in the state of Mississippi already.

We didn't make Ole Miss cheat on ACTs, give money and hookers.

Just so you know there under your rock, there were OTHER SEC schools that turned Ole Miss in. Read the NCAA response to Ole Miss.

You might be very surprised who the "other" teams are and stop spreading "snitch" with such a wide brush.

It really amazes me that Ole Miss is proven to be a rampant cheater, even while under investigation, but MSU is the a-hole.

Are you sure you read it? It very clearly states that they got their first Lewis tip from someone not associated with an SEC program.

why do you think that? The NFL could give a rats arse about a player receiving impermissible benefits in college.

The article mentions LSU and Bama assistant coaches too (Frank Wilson and Burton Burns). Are they going to get looked into at all?

I love how State fans are entering the Ole Miss ignorance stage from a couple years ago.

Welcome to the party, it is downhill from here.

Correct. But Leo's situation is a bit unique and gives you an idea about his character.

NFL GM's put a good bit of stock into their potential employee's character.(with the exception of the Browns)

He'll still play in the league(pending him reaching his potential) and get paid. But it's doubtful that he'll be a program changing linebacker and NFL management will pick someone else if they have equal talent.

Look at how far Tunsil fell in the draft. It costed him millions.

I'm sure they've already been looked at. The way OM is slinging mud, if there were a word about LSU or Alabama (particularly Bama) it would be one of their talking points.

LSU has been brought up. His momma said they offered $650,000 which is clearly bullshait. In their report, the NCAA made it clear they didn't believe a word his momma said.

That a poor high school kid would take money from a booster? There have been PLENTY of college players lose their eligibility over impermissible benefits and still be drafted . shite Eric Dickerson got a trans-am from A&M, went to SMU, lied about it, and still went #2 overall. Unless GMs are worried about the kid breaking the law off the field, they really don't care about them receiving money in or before college. Regardless, Lewis is being painted more as a victim in all of this. At the end of the day, if he can play, he will be fine

Tunsil fell in the draft because he had a picture leak of him wearing a bong mask, not because his family was paid by his college coaching staff. And he fell....all the way to the #13 overall pick

Yeah I'm sure they looked into Bama, LSU, as well as State. Either they just didn't find anything, or more likely, turned a blind eye because that isn't their bone to pick right now.

It sucks for OM but the truth is it doesn't really matter which is the case. The NCAA isn't throwing out carpet bombs to catch randoms, they are firing Patriot missiles up that a-hole and OM leaking confidential documents certainly isn't going to lube those bad boys up.
