st like I've always told dumbass aggys. Texas to the SEC and aggy out on their arse will eventually happen.

0% chance... just because ESPN is pumping up one of their investments doesn't make it true... Lot of people said you could hire any coach you wanted last time around, and you whiffed on your first 5-6 choices.

Well not to say that their votes would mean anything but Arkansas & Mizzou also both left the oppressive Texas run conferences so I doubt the vote would be 13-1.

But Texas had their chance, no?

I don't know why you'd want to leave anyways.

texas adds nothing but headache. Also texas isn't a cultural fit. Too liberal. Definitely more pac12 culture than anything else.

Why would y'all ever want to leave? You take 70% of the revenue, you have your own network, you financially rule that conference. Why leave?

Bring Texas and OU, move Bama and Auburn to the East and Mizzou to the west.

f anything Texas would go independent like Notre Dame.

This can't happen anymore for a few reasons. LHN already has very few games on live. They typically have a few shitty out of conference games and 1 or 2 sitty conference opponents on LHN. Last week was Iowa State at 1-4. Opponents have to agree to be on LHN. Very few decent teams do.

With the P5 conferences each having their own network it would be very difficult for an independent texass to show any of those games. Don't think the SEC, Pac, Big, etc.. are going to give up TV rights so the game can be shown in a very limited local interest basis that favors one side of the table. Besides, most power conference games are on either network, ESPN type channels, or conference networks already with bigger viewing audiences already.

Notre Dame works because of NBC. Conference football TV contracts have all but shut down any type of deal such as Notre Dame for anyone else.

Indpedendent is not an option for texass and hasn't been for some time. Just not workable from a TV standpoint any longer. They fricked.

You can add Mizzou in ink to that list.

Arky & LSU probably wouldn't be thrilled either.

That isn't a problem if they are willing to give it up. ESPN owns the SEC Network and the LHN so they would be happy to fold the LHN.

The problem is Texas giving it up, and the contract lasts until 2030 so they won't have to make that decision for a while.

Our network is going to die. More money in the SEC. Our schedule is dog shite. Can you imagine Texas back on top and playing those match ups on the SEC main stage? Would be far more profitable for the conference than second rate poor aggy.

This.

Tejas more likely to try and pull a hostile takeover of the PAC than just be an equal partner in SEC
