As if being the winningest player & coach wasn't enough, his landing Saban to TTown as AD, cemented his legacy.

Bama should build him a statue.

I agree 100%. The next thing to figure out would be where to place it. In front of the athletics building, or the stadium?

What a true Southern gentleman, egalitarian and statesman. His stature in college athletics helped the SEC as much as it did the University of Alabama.

You've heard Athletic Directors in the SEC say that Mal could have thrown his and Alabama's weight around and demand things, ie Texas in the Big 12, but you constantly hear them say he always did what was good for the SEC even if it wasnt exactly good for Alabama.
Which has led to the unprecendented financial success and exposure of the SEC.

WTF?

Why would you be offended by that? It was stating a fact.

You may not like it...(not sure why)...but it's stating a fact of his legacy.

Not sure why one would get offended by that. Maybe you're just misinformed or something.

Take it up with the SEC ADs. They are the ones who've said it in some form or fashion over the years.

Just one of many articles ---> here you go moron. LINK
