Rest in peace Coach Moore and may God bless his family and friends.

30 years ago this past January, Coach Moore's mentor, friend and coach passed away just 4 weeks after he retired. Coach Moore passed a little over 1 week after he retired.

Very sorry to hear this. To all the gumps out there, I know we have our fun and mess with each other constantly, but my thoughts go out to all of y'all.

Moore was a very good AD and a good guy from what I understand. He ran a (relatively) clean program...we all have our minor infractions

I may not like many of you, but I definitely respect the rivalry that has come about between LSU and Bama, and Mal Moore and Skip Bertman are 2 guys who have certainly stood out among the greats in the SEC.

I think if anyone deserves a statue at UA, Mal Moore should get one. With his many years there as a player, coach, and administrator he has done enough to earn a place to be forever recognized.

May he rest in peace and may God grant comfort to his family.

Had a chance meeting with him once, he was a class act.
