Yet it's only LSU with as much build up by national media.

Not really. Last year y'all thought you were going to beat Alabama in a blow out and then Bama proceeded to molest booger and LSU on national TV. Psychologically LSU still hasn't recovered from 21-0 or 21-17 or 20-13 and certainly not last years hate frickin. This game is already over from a mental perspective after Cam's charges were rightfully dropped. The melt has been delectable

This game is nothing like GOTC at this point. Bama will win though even if it becomes the next GOTC

If you go back to 2007, this match-up became THE game for LSU fans obviously because of the whole Nick Saban thing. Personally, I was never mad at the guy, He had an opportunity to be a head coach in the NFL, decided it wasn't for him and it just so happened the Bama job was available.

I am not sure if LSU would be the program we are today without Nick Saban, but for the first three or four years LSU fans only cared about beating Nick Saban. It started a rivalry, but I think the match-up has evolved. In rivalry games, the two teams hate each other. Bama vs Auburn, Michigan vs Ohio St, Texas vs Oklahoma, West Virginia vs Pittsburgh, etc.. Those teams hate each other, but I think LSU and Bama respect each other. Yes we have lost 5 straight games vs Bama, but it is always Bama's toughest game.

The last LSU team that beat Bama is one of the best teams LSU has ever had, at least in my opinion. Unfortunately we had to play Bama again and it is tough to beat a team like them twice in a year, but this year (2016), I think LSU will have a team that will be possibly just as good as the 2011 team so as of now I think we end the losing streak against Bama.

With that said, LSU allows the Bama game to define its season. It doesn't matter how good of a LSU team we have, when we lose to Bama, we let them beat us again one or two other times after we play them so I hope that isn't the case this year. I can't want for the season to begin, I am ready to see how our defense will look and I want to see if we can be more balanced on offense, if we are and our defense is even better, we will be hard to beat.

They didn't stack the box...

Actually they had more than 7 in the box on the majority of running downs, just like every other team the Tigers played last season. The difference was the caliber of players wearing the Crimson and white.

First, You do not have a better team.

Please don't start the gotc shite. It won't be. It was overrated to begin with. The ONLY reason it got attention to start with was LSU fans burning effigy' s
And constantly crying over saban and chanting f-you saban on national tv.

Y'all should get cbs to set up the Arkie game on primetime (which has been discussed). That would get more viewers than the last couple bama LSU games. If u want to play us at night there, fine. Let's play at 230 in ttown. Cool?

Brandon has to play the game of his life vs Bama to win?

BH at Bama didn't play well. Not good. He was 6-19 for 128 yards. 1 TD.

At home if he plays decent/good for lets say 14/23 for 170 yards and 1 Td

LF will run for over 100 at home.

He doesn't have to play the game of his life. Can't turn the ball over, has to be more accurate and that'll do.

We need to utilize Brandon Harris' legs against Bama and hope and pray that the Defense is up to the task and that the special teams have done a complete 180 in the offseason.
How about we use the legs of Fournette and Guice. We're not winning that game or the SEC West/SEC without a somewhat productive short and medium range passing game. That's entire season right there............

Didn't stack the box, didn't need to. One of the great run defenses of all time.

I feel like this is gonna be our best year against running QBs. The athleticism playing in the two deep in the front 7 is crazy, plus we have a lot of returning experience in the secondary so one would hope they don't get juked out too much...

Will be very difficult for a rookie QB to come in and win. He isn't a senior like Sims was when he took over

He also won't be a converted RB, so there's that.
