Its funny how everybody thinks that if Alabama plays against anybody else they would perform like they did against Michigan State.

^^^^THIS^^^^ seems to be the logic they are using even for going into next season.

Tell me why it wouldn't if it is the same head coach and the same staff and the same 6 or 7-week bowl preparation routine?

I agree. It was for us too. We went undefeated and beat a great Nebraska and Texas team.

And I would bet that your "projection" IS correct.....Unfortunately what I posted was NOT a projection and it was HYPOTHETICAL at that....to make a point about competitive patterns. Never mind. I've come to the conclusion that you are just too fricking stupid to argue with.

What are you arguing? That you would have without doubt beaten tOSU? You can't back that shite up professor. Beating Aggy isn't your measuring stick, no matter how much you want it to be. But keep trying to validate yourself. It's very entertaining.

So how does Bob Stoops go 86-22 since 2003 but he is 1-5 in BCS bowl games in that period?

How can Ohio State be a top 10 team year in and year out but can't been an SEC game in a bowl game?

The same players?

And thanks for validating your own stupidity by asking that question and showing everybody here that you have been carrying on argument when you don't even know WHAT is being argued. fricking moron!

Probably the same way LSU couldn't beat tOSU in 1987 or 1988. It's a different time, with different players, different day, and different ballgame.

I think Ohio state is a better team than most give them credit for, they are one of the few imo that could compete in the sec

lsu fans are dilusional...you've had a good run for the past 7-8 years but you're not the elite team you think you are...you're no where close to bama, uscw, oklahoma, nebraska, texas, tosu, or hell even fla st for that matter. those teams have finished on top for decades running....you've had a few good years in this decade which has been somewhat impressive however you are no where near the elite team those aformentioned teams are...so stfu

The Ohio State pattern vs. the SEC is a bad example. But programs that consistently have successful seasons under the same coach within the same decade but consistently play poorly in bowl games clearly show that some coaches are great bowl coaches and some are not. LSU's worst season in the past decade (2008)we went to the Chik-Fil-A bowl as underdogs and an 7-5 record and won that game by 35 points. Coincidence? Lucky? ...or just a pattern.

What about LSU vs. Ohio State? You argue the importance of trends and rule out trends? Dammit man!

Here is your first post on the topic then...

quote:

quote:

And LSU was 2 blown coverages from beating Arkansas on the road too. Fact of the matter is Les Miles at 5-1 (2-0 in BCS games) and 35.8 ppg is a MUCH better bowl coach than the offensive genius Petrino who is 3-3 (1-1 in BCS games) and 27.6 ppg - including a loss to a MAC opponent.

Is your argument one of clear moral victory then? Spin 31-23 some more old timer...

If they played like they did in the bowl game, OSU would have had a good chance against LSU. LSU's offense doesn't seem built to put up points and make a come back like Arkansas would be able to.

The Alabama team that played against Michigan State wouldn't have much of a problem with the Buckeyes or really anyone else, IMO.
