I'm not trying to "create threads" and I could care less about woulda, shoulda, coulda. I didn't start this thread and if you actually read my post and understand the context within which it was made you wouldn't be saying that. But I guess if I can't get you to read the actual thread, expecting you to understand shouldn't be expected.

.....then again I am arguing with an Arkansas fan who is happy with a 2nd place SEC West finish and not "ashamed" to lose to Ohio State....who is defending another Arkansas fan who cluelessly assumes that LSU fans enjoy "moral victories". I supposed that irony is lost on you too?

I'm be goddammed pissed if LSU lost to Ohio State considering LSU dominant performance in bowl games under Miles and Ohio State's 0-9 record against the SEC in bowl games. But you are "not ashamed"? Who enjoys moral victories?

Your win over Aggy is your moral vic to the arse throttling Arkansas gave you.

If you can't beat them, relish that someone else can... The LSUsual way.

LSU beat North Carolina by 6
LSU beat Vanderbilt by 24
LSU beat Mississippi State by 22
LSU beat West Virginia by 6
LSU beat Tennessee by 2
LSU beat Florida by 4
LSU beat McNeese State by 22
LSU lost to Auburn by only 7
LSU beat Alabama by 3
LSU beat Monroe by 51
LSU beat Ole Miss by 7

LSU lost to Arkansas by only 8, because there's no way Arkansas could have scored again, and with the exception of a couple of plays, LSU should have won by 2

LSU beat Texas A&M by 17 (in a bowl)

Now I see.

2005 - LSU wins bowl game by 37
2006 - LSU wins BCS bowl game by 27
2007 - LSU wins BCS NC by 14
2008 - LSU wins bowl game by 35
2010 - LSU wins bowl game by 17

Yeah, I'm sure that with LSU's last 5 bowl victories by an average of 26 points, it's inconceivable that they could ever beat Ohio State at all moreless by 3 TD's, huh?

You right about dominating in bowl games. I was trying to remember ...by how much did Penn State get clobbered by LSU?

Are you seriously putting your toes in the Hot Tub Time Machine thinking 2005, 2006 etc has a Goddamn thing to do with some hypothetical "we would have beaten OSU by..."?

Really?

Well LSU wasn't even good enough to play OSU, you didn't even get the chance to be ashamed because LSU couldn't even beat the team who you think should be ashamed.

OSU is 23-3 the past two seasons. They are a top 5 team this season. If losing to OSU in the 2010 Sugar Bowl is something to be ashamed of, then losing to LSU is even worse.

You're right. One 2-point loss in the slop renders our 5 wins by an average of an average of 26 irrelevant.

Tell me why it wouldn't if it is the same head coach and the same staff and the same 6 or 7-week bowl preparation routine?

Sure the hell does when your fair to spare LSU squad lost to pooooor lil' ol' Arky. 3 of those last 4 years, no less.

31-23
I'm sorry, but I don't make the rules. Should we just not play as well the next time? Would it help?

No no, it makes it totally relevant for you to think your hypothetical is iron clad...

An example of fact: 31-23

Haven't read the whole thread but had the Arky receivers caught 1 outta 3 balls thrown their way, Arky would have destroyed tOSU. I know it's a team sport but I put the blame on the Arky loss squarely on the receivers shoulders, not the team as a whole.

We lost. Plain and simple.

We won't blame a play here or there... or a field condition. That would be bush.

The irony is this: The only fans making a huge production over it are some LSU fans. ...and I understand. They lost to us and had to settle for playing A&M. It hurts.

Which is why if (hypothetically) next November a 7-4 Arkansas team comes into Tiger Stadium to take on an 11-0 #1 ranked LSU I will still be very, very nervous. But since you struggle with understanding "patterns" I won't expect you to understand this either.

Yep not our year. But at least we haven't been saying that since 1964.

You are the MASTER of the biased projection...

Here is one for you. We won't be 7-4 and you won't be unblemished.
