Apparently the LSU booster who sponsors the bootleggers 7 on 7 team has told the team that if Shea Patterson stays on the team he is pulling his sponsorship dollars. This 7 on 7 stuff is starting to smell like AAU hoops which is not good.

That's a pretty shitty thing to do, if true.

That's so ridiculous. The 7 on 7 circuit is disgusting, btw. Nothing but wanna be hanger-on types trying to the best friend to every big time kid out there. I went around with my nephew a few years ago and it was eye opening.

That was the word on the street by someone on the LSU RB a few days ago.

And remember things could have been taken care of by the booster with the understanding the Shea went to LSU. Do I think the booster is in the right? Hell no. But if the booster had been paying for Shea's hotels and etc. Then I dont blame him. Of course, if it was like where I grew up its probably because the booster wants his son to play QB.

Gotta add an upper deck to all the high school stadiums to get that real, authentic Death Valley piss balloon velocity.

You know the guy who runs the team posts on here right? He realized Feleipe Franks was the far superior prospect and told Shea he just wasn't good enough, just like LSU's coaches.

He didn't get "kicked off the bootleggers"... He got replaced by a better quarterback. DWI

One positive is that 7 on 7 will never hold the recruiting weight in football that AAU hoops does in basketball. 7 on 7 is more of a dog and pony show where highly rated prospects get together and have fun than a legitimate recruiting outlet. No matter how much "sponsors" control 7 on 7 it won't really effect where kids do/don't go unlike AAU which is pretty much the only thing that matters to kids trying to get noticed by college coaches
