Bama is in the west, how can you NOT play them? You may have an argument with fla. but, as a fan, I look forward to that game every year.

Florida fans do say it. They don't like that they have to play LSU every year as their team from the west.

Bama has to play us regardless because they are in the west. I can promise you that UF fans don't like playing us when they would much rathe play Miss State.

The benefit of beating UF is greater then beating Vandy and I admit that; however, I would much rather beat Vandy every year then lose to Florida some years. I guess you forgot that an 11-1 SEC team makes it to the SECCG game and BCSCG.

You are a fricking moron if you want to play Bama+UF every single year.

And you are a fricking pussy if you don't. It's fun to call people names. If we can't beat Florida and/or Bama, and that causes us to be left out, so be it. To want to get to the Championship by not playing good teams, is frankly, weak as shite. Besides, a team is going to win, at best 2-3 titles in a decade, so why not at least have some very high quality regular season games to watch?

I honestly would take a loss to Florida over a rent-a-win over Vandy.
Let me rephrase that, I would rather have the opportunity to beat a Florida then take a rent-a-win against Vandy.

not being a smart arse but why does it seem like the majority of folks think this is a good idea?

personally, i like the current SEC and do not see any advantages of adding two more teams? the only thing i see is it hurting lsu in recruiting in texas? what say you all?

Add aTm and missouri to the west(which was what they were talking about) then kick Bama to the east. It's not that hard to think about.

Everybody who says "YEAH WE NEED TO PLAY FLORIDA! THEY ARE A GOOD TEAM AND WE HAVE TO BEAT THEM!" Needs to think that if you play Vandy instead you get the win and have one less loss on your record. That one loss can get you a conference championship.

So I guess it's fair that Ole Miss gets to play Vanderbilt every year while we play Florida?

What would have happened if LSU played Vandy instead of Florida in '07? It helps to play them as much, or more so, than it hurts.

I'm a fan of it because starting the LSU vs A&M rivalry again would be fun.

If you can't beat teams like fla and bama, you don't deserve to play for the national championship.

i agree but why cant we just always agree to play each other out of conference every year or some kind of 10-12 year deal?

And most Florida fans I've met out here are pussies who don't really give a shite about football.

Yeah, but what happens if you trade a loss to UF for a loss to Vandy or Kentucky that year? No chance at the title.
