Don't they have to get approval from the Tx legislature or something and isn't there a big huff over keeping Texas, aTm and Baylor in the same conference.

Texas just needs to get off it's high horse/and the other teams need to grow some balls and they need to share the wealth like every other conference before it's too late.

LSU=Florida

In the day and age of the BCS and strength of schedule being as big as it is, I LOVE being paired with Florida. If anything we have an advantage over team like Ole Piss because of having a tougher schedule.

I wouldn't mind taking Florida off the schedule. We play enough tough games already and while LSU and Florida don't like each other I really don't think most of the fans would mind not having to play each other every year.

And Ole Miss has how many BCS titles?

That is irrelevant as their program sucks. Just because they don't win the BCS doesn't mean it is because they don't have to play Florida every year.

Having a tougher schedule. To be the best in the SEC tells the pollsters that you can play with anyone in the country. And having Florida instead of Vandy (Ole Piss) tells that story a lil bit better.

And if the SEC did get Texas A&M, who else would the league go after to make it an even 14 teams? I still say brand new markets such as Virginia Tech or possibly Maryland would make the most sense for the SEC.

Maryland in the SEC no thank you

Your link is about a year old but the story is still about the same.

The thing is in the SEC if you don't play the best team in the east during the regular season you are going to play them in the championship game. Being undefeated and with the SEC brand in today's game will get you to the NCG. It's not like in the big 10 last year where Michigan State didn't even play Ohio State.

A loss or win against Florida is better than a loss or win against Vandy.

No, but if they add another team(aTm) then why should we still have to play two elite conference teams a year? Bama and Auburn don't play them yet they seem to be able to have no problem winning a BCS title. The arguement that you have to play the best doesn't hold up in the SEC. Anyone can beat you, but as an LSU fan I would much rather take my chances against Kentucky then Florida.

you brought them into the discussion. LSU beating Vandy isn't going to win many points in the strength of schedule argument. LSU beating Florida will. I wonder how many bama and fla fans are saying "why do we have to play lsu every year?".

I would take Oklahoma to the SEC in a heart beat, but A&M/Missouri combo just doesn't do it for me.

Anyone thinking that LSU having to play Bama and Flor every season is not a huge disadvantage to LSU and a big plus for the likes of Bama, Aub, and Ark hasn't been playing attention to either the recent landscape of the SEC or college football on the whole. imo

I honestly would take a loss to Florida over a rent-a-win over Vandy.
