I know who they are. The secondary should be good but outside of CG3 the LBs are still suspect to me. Yes I realize he's a true freshman but he's going to be awesome

Yes indeed! Can't wait to see him hit his full potential!

Kwon has been good and Debo Jones has looked outstanding when he's been on the field. This in entirely speculation but that group is as talented as LSU has ever had. It's all out living up to expectations now.

And leaving DJ Welter on the bench.

I was on the Kwon pain train before last year but my boy let me down. If Beckwith pans out they could be special.

I'm a HUGE PP7 fanboy, but Robinson may be the best CB LSU has ever had. I know that lofty expectations, but he's got all the ability in the world.

Beckwith would play Mike (middle), Kwon is more of a Sam (Outside) guy (unless I'm mistaken (like I said I'm drunk). Either way LSU will be running more 4-2-5 than anything and those two, along with Debo and Lamar Louis, have a ton of potential.

That's correct although from my understanding its a 4-3 scheme not the 4-2-5 like we run. When y'all go to the nickel Mills plays the boundary if iirc

The OP does bring up a good topic though. Who are the top 5 coaches of all time in the SEC? Some of the candidates, Bryant, Neyland, Saban, Spurrier, Dooley, Vaught, Miles, Meyer, Stallings, Fulmer, Jordan, Dodd. Anyone else I am forgetting?

Miles deserves more credit than he will ever get, but with the volatility of LSU fans he's going to be bashed no matter what.

That's because LSU fans will always compare his success to Nick Saban's. He won a national title, but a lot of people love to argue that he did it with Nick Saban's recruits and that he backed into the title game with an unprecedented two losses. Another factor that Miles has going against him is the fact that his best team ever got shut out in the BCS National Championship Game.

His record at LSU is impeccable, but most people seem to think he has underachieved with the amount of talent he has brought into the program.

Too bad Gene Hackman will be too old to play him when they make a movie about him, they look a lot alike.

Let's see

Neyland
Bryant
Spurrier
Saban

They seem like top 5 locks.

You're telling me Miles is best of the rest? Hmmmm. Not buying it.

As do I. The post 2003 fans have no idea what awaits them if Miles leaves.

I would say post 2000. I missed most of the Dark Ages, but I remember being excited about the Independence Bowl. Twice.

How could a top 5 list of SEC coaches not include Johnny Vaught. He won at Ole Miss.
