Leonard Fournette has no vision
The dude looks stiff running the ball, not shifty at all IMO.
He definitely is not as impressive as some other 5 star RB's I've seen over the years that have started as true freshmen.

quote:He is not a 175lb. scat back. He is a very big, strong, fast downhill runner who has the ability to make shifty moves and make the first guy miss badly. He is too thick now to make multiple open field moves like he did in HS.

He has rushed for more yards than Alabama's, Ole Miss', Texas A&M's, Florida's, Kentucky's, and Missouri's leading rushers so far this season. Averaging 72.6 YPG with 6 TDs despite a woefully underperforming o-line and splitting carries with 3 other backs. Only 2 games with 20+ carries. The thing is he's just starting to warm up.

I've watched most of LSU's games and I've seen him play.
I'm not saying he hasn't been productive, I'm just saying he doesn't really look as impressive when you consider all the hype he came in with. It's early in the season and in his career but physically there's nothing that blows you away about him.
I know he is a big back and making people miss doesn't have to be a big part of his game to be productive, but there are other big backs that move in the open field and cut much better than him.
Just my opinion, not hating on the kid.

He's about to blow up, and your defense is next on his menu

Wow! judging one game. It's like judging your quarterback in the USC game and now look at him!!!

Have to disagree on Ingram. He pretty much ran straight into the line where the hole was supposed to be like Fournette did Sat. night. He improved dramatically in one off season.
Agreed. MI was tremendously improved in year 2.

Yes you are. Leonard Fournette is easily the best freshman RB in the conference. You are judging him based on unrealistic expectations rather than the evidence in front of you.
But you will learn. LF will probably gash your run D that allows more than 150 yards per game.
