Sean Sutton

Fine representative of the "student athlete" at the University of Kentucky when he played for his daddy. Was it Eric Manuel he took the ACT for or another player?

That's the joke.

Best Sean Sutton story: Sean Kemp was at UK and stole Sutton's (very distinctive) chain. Kemp pawned it and gave his real name. Goodbye Kemp.

Yes, because a conference championship in the MAC should be statistically weighted the same as a conference championship in the SEC.

I love miami of Ohio. If it were located in basically any other state I probably would have gone to school there.

This is but one example of the ridiculousness of this "statistical" ranking: Oklahoma is at number 27, with zero NCs and 28 NCAA tourney appearances. Villanova is at number 30, with one NC and 33 NCAA tourney appearances.

What is amazing is how KY plays such great defense without fouling.

I think that's Duke you're think about!

46. Weber St. - 0 NCs, 15 NCAA tourneys

Fair enough. We have won 4/5 and have had incredible games over the years. I've traveled to every SEC basketball road venue except auburn, florida and sc. The respect we get from KY fans is, far above, the highest.

I have been following UK basketball for a number of years now and in every era UK has a SEC rival that plays well against them and even beats them more than half the time, for a while (late 70s -- Tennessee, early 80s -- LSU, mid 80s-Auburn/Alabama, early to mid 90s -- Arky, early 2000s -- Vandy, mid 2000s to present -- Florida). The constant through all the years is UK as the elite program of the conference, and that will likely never change

i don't really care. my point was we have a good basketball history and are in the top 25 easily on anyone's list i would imagine regardless of recent down years.

Arky certainly has a good basketball history; my point is they are not currently elite.

In this thread, we find out that piggilicious is older than I had thought.

I find that I can't tell how old people are on here for shite.

UK basketball whining about refs, it is a lot easier to see fouls and non fouls as opposed to football. Basketball officiating is so inconsistent especially with the recent changes on blocks and charges. Home teams usually get the benefit. In the LSU game this past Sat one official called a block and the other called a charge so they called both fouls and gave possession to LSU. first time I had ever seen that

Agreed, and the inconsistency is extremely dramatic across all the different conferences.

I've already statistically proven that point. They've been bad to mediocre.
