Eh it's a toss up. During the seasons UK is probably worse but Bama is awful year round.

Eh,has anyone ever seen an Alabama football fan or Kentucky basketball fan in the same room? They're one and the same.
A perfect example of the envy and jealousy that so many folks on this board display. Who wants to rank the fan bases on this trait?

Come on hon, we never left the elite status. We have endured a couple of bumps in the road but we are unmistakably, elite.

Um, no.

Ask any Big Blue fan about our program.

This one disagrees with you.

I suppose I'll edit to actually respond to the thread. Yes, Kentucky basketball fans are generally awful and entitled. That said, we played our worst game of the year and Ole Miss was hitting off balance, long threes. I enjoyed the game and hope the rebball fans did as well. It's nice to have good games during SEC play.

Fair enough. We have won 4/5 and have had incredible games over the years. I've traveled to every SEC basketball road venue except auburn, florida and sc. The respect we get from KY fans is, far above, the highest.

That doesn't mean Arky is an elite program. They're not.

Kentucky fans are terribly entitled, but how could you not be if you were a UK fan? Decades of being an elite program while the rest of the conference pretty much wallowed in mediocrity. Now they are landing the top classes ever in the history of the sport every year. The only recruiting that rivals theirs is some of the UCLA classes during their big run with Wooden and the fab 5 in Michigan.

They have tradition and are also currently on a roll. I think it can lead the SEC to being a powerful conference if everyone elevates their game to compete with them. I have liked most every Cat fan I have met in person and they are usually very knowledgeable.

That said, Cal is still a huge gash.

Yeah I definitely think Kentucky fans have a right to be somewhat entitled. Most fans of very successful sports programs have some level of entitlement.

My only complaint about UK fans is there incessant whining about the refs. I sat in the UK section at the SEC tournament several years ago, and that's all a few of them did. It's like they didn't even watch the game, just the refs.

Also like a true UK fan (which I am), whose opinion you apparently highly value.

This is an extremely accurate post (even the comment about Cal)! Like Alabama's football success, theirs can only motivate the other SEC teams to do what it takes to compete...and therefore making all better.....and folks will still hate them, too.

I think we as Kentuckians are just loathe to submit to the rule of the referees.

This is probably coming from Ole Miss being just the 2nd team, since John Calipari has been the head coach, to shoot at least 86% at the free-throw line, 52% from behind the 3-point line, and 49% from the field against UK. The other was the 2010 Maui Invitational game against UConn. UK lost that game by 17 points.

But Bama Football fans in this thread complaining about entitlement is rich as hell.

Well SEC officials suck and have for a long time. And it's certainly not an exclusively Rupp thing like everyone wants to bitch about.

Don't want entitled UK fans? Don't bitch that your losing streaks against UK are solely because of officiating. Because that's all we ever hear.

I just re-read the entire thread and didn't see a single Bama football fan complaining about entitlement.

You're complaining about UK fan entitlement, are you not an Alabama fan?
