Tennessee ran 90 plays that day. Your defense had no answer for Dobbs and could not get Tennessee's offense off the field.

Fair. But our offensive woes late added a number of additional snaps for Dobbs to work with. There's no debating that.

Michel ran 22 times for 145 yards. Give me a damn break on this Chubb shite. He's an phenomenal player but Sony had an awesome game that day.

So you're seriously going to tell me that having Chubb and Michel splitting carries isn't a better tandem than Michel and Marshall? By a LONG fricking way?

BTW, Sony had 145 yards, but that was largely due to a lone run of 66. Minus that one, and he averaged 3.76 a carry on the other 21. Nothing phenomenal.

Also, RA'd for making fun of a college kid with a rare disease he was born with.

Sounds like bad luck. Tennessee players were playing on the same turf that day.

I'm sure there's some bad juju in there, sure. But Tennessee players play on the damn stuff EVERY week (give or take). They have the advantage of knowing the turf and how it plays better than anyone else coming in.

It's okay, though. We'll get things back on track as they were this year.

I didn't really RA. I was just trying to channel my inner TT9

Tbh, it rustles my jimmies slightly how the majority of Georgia fans otb want to blame Chubb's injury and the grass on Tennessee's win last year instead of just giving VOLS some credit. Hell, we lost our best DT in the second half of the game and for the rest of the season of a blatant dirty play from that ginger bitch Kublanow but you don't see Tennessee fans bringing that up constantly. We will just agree to disagree

14 of their 31 points were gifted to them anyways which prevented the score from being a lop sided W for the Big Orange.

The 99 yard fumble return on rhe 1 yard line and a punt return for a TD with a hold in the back that was called initially and then waved off.

Either way, it was nice to see Dobbs and team put on a show for the fans to enjoy

Okay, I feel better about you now.

Don't misunderstand what I'm saying here. You're absolutely right in that Dobbs was playing out of his mind that day and there wasn't a whole lot we could do about it. I'm just arguing that losing our only true, equalizing threat on offense on his first run had a lot to do with the anemia that followed. Lambert wasn't going to blow y'all out, that's for sure (and he actually played respectably, really). Michel is a good stand-in, but you can't totally negate the effect that having Chubb and Michel could have had. The reality is, we'll never know. What we do know is that Sloth just scored again.

We've lost our fair share of guys to y'all, not saying all were dirty or anything. I'm still a little rustled about the Edwards ankle hit and that was nearly twenty years ago now.

At any rate, I don't expect this year's game to resemble last year's in many ways. Too many sure and potential differences, for us at least. I doubt Lambert is QBing by our game and I feel pretty sure Chubb is back by then, barring any new injury. Add that to Kirby and the D being complete unknowns and who really knows?

SOMEbody's gonna win and SOMEbody's gonna lose.

Fair enough

And about Lambert, I did gain a lot of respect for him after the game he had against Tennessee. He was much better than I thought. Not trolling but that ball he threw that went through Reggie Davis' hands might have been the prettiest throw I saw all season.

Kirby is just trying to make sure his team stays grounded and doesn't get caught up in praise sent their way from a rival. It makes sense and yes, that is exactly the way Saban would handle it.

That should be cause for concern. People ridiculing Kirby for acting like possibly the best coach in college football history is reminiscent of people making fun of Saban and his "process". Of course, that was four long national championships ago.

That's no troll. You're right, Lambert did his job there. Davis has to make the catch. Ah, the what-ifs!

Me: Kirby, that's a good looking shirt.

Kirby: You weren't there when I acquired this shirt or when I washed it the first time. I respect what you do up there but this being a good looking shirt is like your opinion, man and you haven't spent enough time with it to know.

It's just weird as hell and yeah a little salty when you get down to it. It's a wtf kinda moment that's funny as hell.

So we're having a thread about Butch, once again, trying to play off like he doesn't have a talented team.

Um...no. Butch has mentioned in this offseason that we are a veteran team and don't have youth to fall back on. He's embracing expectations this year.

While also saying UGA has the best team. Seems a little contradictory.

Actually the conversation would have gone like this:

You: Kirby, I realize I haven't seen the shirt you are wearing, but it's a good looking shirt!

Which do you think is stranger, now? I mean, really. If Butch knows so much about UGA football why would he need to study film?

He has not seen Georgia, how would he know if we are good or not? We follow Georgia closer than butch and we have no idea what to expect, and see holes in several places.

Look...maybe Butch was trying to pay UGA a compliment. I am guessing he was. But it just comes off as insincere when you realize he hasn't seen Georgia.

Except for the fact that we know what your team looks like and the talent it has. Hell we recruited many of them. I mean it's not some secret that Georgia is loaded with talent or that you like to wear Red and Black with silver britches or that you have a cute little bulldog named Uga. I understand he wants to lower expectations because he's going to be entering his first year but damn man there are times when you just need to take a compliment.
