if deemed a secondary, these were level 1's correct?

Yeah, and I just looked at that Penalty Guideline Matrix and the "possible" sanctions for just one Level 1 infraction at a mitigated stage are harsh. YIKES!

As far as the NOA is concerned, yes. But the NOA isn't the final say.

The NCAA is, and the NOA is the guilt/charge, you have to prove otherwise. They accepted these, though right? so...level 1's

so naive... you might want to check out the history of the NCAA, including your "rival" LSU...

And I'll probably stop watching college sports altogether.
Even if every Level 1 allegation gets plead down to a Level 2, the standard penalties will bring your program to it's knees. Because the LOIC and Failure to Monitor are still pending.

This thing is massive, I can't imagine what kind of hours these attorneys are billing out right now.

And still doesn't come close to the LONG standing history of crooked politicians in Louisiana's government.

If I remember correctly, Ole Miss is represented by one of the best firms that specializes in NCAA cases.

Lightfoot, Franklin and White out of Birmingham, Alabama. They are the best, but they don't come cheap and they are burning the midnight oil on the OleMiss/NCAA case for sure.

agreed. Hell, we're already just about brought down to our knees with just the investigation. But the key in that statement is the fact that they're pending. Obviously, we'll try to make the strongest possible argument that those two charges won't stick. When the hearing comes and we feel as if it will stick....you'll most likely see us offer up Freeze's termination to save the program.

The administration didn't just randomly make up the self-imposed punishments. They worked closely with the NCAA when with those after the original NOA. I have no idea about the amended one...but it would be a pretty solid guess that we took the same route.

That's correct.

The dumb coonass is just another poster in a long line of idiots on this site that doesn't have the intellectual ability to research anything.

Offering Freeze up or not, he will not be coaching your team for an extended period of time as he will be serving restrictions under the penalty matrix.

He will not be recruiting or communicating in any way with prospects for under those restrictions even if y'all keep him on staff. I can't see OM retaining him and continuing to pay him over $400,000/month while he's basically the Head Coach in name only. What purpose does that serve the program for the long haul?

They won't do anything to the FCA booster that we keep mentioning because he has a pre-existing relationship with that recruit and has a long history of taking underprivileged kids from inner-city Memphis to several schools.
