They sucked because the ncaa actually punished them for buying all their players.

No surprise. Bama tradition.

Saban has more titles at Alabama than Auburn has in it's entire history.

But stop trying to play high and mighty when everyone not old enough to be going through a midlife crisis has seen AU have a better overall stretch than Alabama.

As someone who isn't a fan of either team, I can honestly say if given the choice of AU's record since Bryant died, or Bama's record since Bryant died I would absolutely take Bama's record over that time

They've got 4 undisputed NCs in that time. AU has one. No contest to me.

How convenient that you take out the "flukey" good season, but NOT the "flukey" BAD seasons.

Well, there were 2 flukey seasons and four bad or average seasons.

You'd think that the last thread that you started would have broken you from sucking eggs, but obviously not. The rich get richer, and the dumb get dumber!

By the way, there's no deflecting or making up for that last abortion of a thread. When you get caught with your dick in your hand...your dick's in your hand.

The melt over Evans continues. Even after playing for a title, Bama swoops in and takes a legacy recruit at a position of need right out of their backyard. If you want a great education, a ring, and to be a first round draft pick, Bama is where it's at. Evans and his Dad know what's up.

Little brother just got embarrassed again and the insecurity is raging.

Thank You Saban & Staff
Amazing job they've done since Saban's arrival. Between 1997- 2006 Bama had a few tough spells and totally crapped the bed every 3rd year, especially against rivals. Thankfully things got back on track because it stunk having to accumulate enough depth every 3rd year to compete (Win 10 games) That still wasn't enough depth needed to win anything though, but coaching or depth isn't a huge problem anymore. Hopefully that awesome trend continues....

1996-2006 Bama
1996 --- 10-3
1997 --- 4-7
1998 --- 7-5
1999 --- 10-3
2000 --- 3-8
2001 --- 7-5
2002 --- 10-3
2003 --- 4-9
2004 --- 6-6
2005 --- 10-2
2006 --- 6-7

Great line play on both sides of the ball, good depth, and good coaching is needed to win the SEC. Combine this with a historically great football program, and magic like below can happen.

Bama's run lately with Saban & Staff
2008 --- 12-2
2009 --- 14-0 BCS Title
2010 --- 10-3
2011 --- 12-1 BCS Title
2012 --- 13-1 BCS Title
2013 --- 11-2

It's amazing what good depth & coaching can do
Well...... it's just common sense really

so lets just cherry pick a time when bama was bad. sheesh, why not pick the 1950s. bama was terrible during the 50s. so cherry picking a time when bama was bad and thumping your chest is pretty childish and ignorant. after all bama will go 6, 8, 10 years being not real good. but a team like lsu will go 30 freakin years and suck the entire time. but over all lsu is pretty darn good. so, if cherry picking makes you feel better, we cant stop you. just know that we recognize foolish attempts at trying to make yourself feel better. i mean i know feelings are the most important thing nowadays, i'm sure oprah can help you

30 years is longer than a short period. Y'all were irrelevant for over an entire generation of kids growing up to college age. You were Consistently riddled with NCAA probation.

Hell, I'd bet the majority of this board that are Bama fans on the board were not even in college or older to experience any real success. So I'm not sure how you know you will be relevant again since it never really happened in your adult lifetime. It's a fairy tale y'all were hoping to come true that just happened to work out

Irrelevant teams don't win national titles, which we did.

Irrelevant teams don't have the most appearances in their division in the SECCG. Which again...we did. Damn Florida kept us from having the most SEC titles since the division split too.

My lifetime encompasses seeing my team win 10 national titles. How about you junior?

You forgot 88 and 89.

True, I should have went with 88, but AU was not the Sugar Bowl rep as SEC Champion in 89 (even though the SEC technically counts them as co-champ that year).
