Don't remember saying that, I did say there were only a few elite programs historically. IMO there are less than 10 but I have no issue if fans want to include up to 10.

Well in that case Alabama hasn't been "elite" for the past 40ish years

Good lord dude, enjoy your success and stop comparing everything to Bama. It's pathetic.

AU's two flukey type seasons of 2010 & 2013 and your record is 23-26. I would say that is, in fact, "collectively shitty".

Hey you know what's another good discussion? What would LSU's record be without Saban? Don't start none won't be none corndog

I don't think media and fans across the nation would agree with you, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Ya'll brought Auburn into this

I made this in response to a dumbfrick Alabama fan talking about Auburn going back to mediocrity. Which is ironic since it has been a considerably longer time since Auburn has been there than Bama

Top 15 all time isn't average. You're right, not as good as Bama but still top level.

Top 15 all-time sounds impressive until you realize there have been only about 15-20 teams since the beginning of the poll era who have consistently competed well enough to be a threat to win a national championship...if that.

Can you do NCs during that time for those who consider that more important than win pct?

You're barking up the wrong tree here. I am fully aware of how average we were before Saban. I'm not the type of LSU fan who hates him. I fully recognize what he did for LSU, but you may have noticed we've maintained and built on what he did. Everyone assumes Bama tanks when he leaves but their history and our success after he left seems to indicate otherwise.

You're the one starting threads about it, then every Auburn fan on this site flocks to it if it's about Bama. Our fans don't flame Auburn near as bad as y'all do, and you know it. Just chill and enjoy the weekend bro, gonna be a long offseason

Your own definition is top 10 team. Since 1980 you are not a top 10 team W/L. Pre Saban, you were behind Auburn, LSU, UF, Tenn and tied with Georgia in SEC titles.

In 2008 #9 Clemson lost to Alabama in the season opener which eventually led to Tommy Bowden's midseason resignation. That was considered a bad loss at the time. We dropped out of the polls after that first loss.

Yes top 10 elite teams. Winning percentage plays only a part in what make an elite program.

Bama wasn't able to maintain success after Bear or Stallings and if there's a God in Heaven they hire Dabo and he continues the tradition

Re: LSU and Leslie, you've maintained success but let's not act like Auburn has been some flash in the pan when we've been you're biggest competition going back to the Saban years

Bama has won four National Titles since Coach Bryant and three since Coach Stallings. True that is not the same standard as Coach Bryant's pace but it's still elite.

From Bear;s last year to Saban's first year, ya'll were outside the top 25 in Win %, bottom of the Big 6 in SEC championships, had a stretch of over a decade with a losing record and losing records against both your rivals.

What other category you need to measure elite?
