LSU's sec schedule has been tougher than anyone else over the last 20 years. Bama may have had Tenn every year but LSU had to contend with Spurrier who revolutionized offense in the SEC for that decade.

Correct. Alabama was also supposed to be A&M's first SEC game. But Saban made Mizzou his opener instead. I have heard this from a direct source(South Lake Carrol recruiting assistant sexy brunette with huge knockers). It's why A&M had two SEC West home games, Alabama had 4, the rest of the league had 3, and Mizzou played at Kyle Field again for the 3rd straight year. Saban has direct control over the "bridge schedules".
