Well, he is our athletic director....

So the other 13 athletic directors are supposed to vote for "whats good for the league"

The wrong team represented the East in 2012. South Carolina was better than UGA, and beat them on the field. The schedule hammered the Cocks by sending them to Baton Rouge the very next week, while UGA got to play weaker West opponents. Send UGA to Baton Rouge in 2012 and they would have lost as well.

Then why not push for the divisions to go away instead of pushing for permananet opponents go away? It's a cyclical league.

Why should it be east vs west if the best two teams are in the same division? Why is it fair for Arkansas to have 4 permanent top 15 opponents and Georgia to have 1?

If he wants it fair and equal then argue for this before whining about permanent opponents

If there is only time for 2 cross divisional games, there shouldn't be a permanent opponent. Teams should rotate every two years.

So he wants what's best for LSU, not what's best for the SEC?

It all makes sense now.

Anyway, we can all agree Saban is the biggest pussy in football. Trying to legislate away something that you can't stop?

It's not like this is new either, he's felt this way about HUNH forever.

Steve Spurrier pushed for only in-divison games to count. Les Miles supported it.

I'd be all for this. Play whoever you want out of division, but those games don't count towards SEC standings.

I've never RA'd you buddy. It is clear you are upset, a timeout would just ruin your weekend. I'm not that kind of guy.

If life had an RA button though, I imagine Alleva would wear it out.

And lol at you for associating Jimi Hendrix with hipsters, you're clearly misguided

What's funny to me is that the LSU fanbase and administration are the loudest voices on this subject. They act like if the shoe was on the other foot then their stance on the issue wouldn't take a 180 turn. You want what's best for the league, Alleva? Bull shite. Alleva and the lsu fanbase wants the easiest path for lsu and the hardest path for Alabama, and anyone that says otherwise has their head in the sand. It's pretty plain to see. Remember back in the 90's when Tennessee was beating Alabama annually like a rented mule? You didn't hear a peep from our administration or fanbase about how it was unfair that we had to play the best team in the league every year or how it was unfair that arkansas got to play south carolina. It boils down to the complex that infects lsu nation. Everyone is always out to get them and life isn't fair. The big bad SEC and big bad bama are holding them down because they're just terrified of the perennial juggernaut in Baton Rouge. It's really pathetic. Sack up and play. Florida lost to Georgia Southern last year. Sack up and play, quit fricking whining about how unfair life is. It's the nature of it

Agree 100% and I'm an LSU fan.

Do away with all divisions and the league would be better in my opinion. I wish we played some teams more often than we do.

That is my only take.

I don't support removing permanent opponents. 9-game schedule with 2 rotating opponents? I'm down for that.
I support removing the permanent opponents not because of an easier path ( I love the UF game) but I want to play the other teams more often. A 9 game schedule would be a good compromise.

9 game schedule is the answer. Everyone should have the guts to vote for that.
