Yep, definitely.

Pollard
Key to Pollard is he is much faster than a lot of TEs. A bit on the short side yes, but close to 4.6 speed. You could see his athleticism during the spring game for sure, he will be a good matchup for us against slower LBs. I think he fits the mold of a WR more than TE honestly but that's just me.

Fork Union Prep. Definitely a talent that will grow.

Hinson
RS because we had depth, and he's practiced with the Basketball team as well. Out of all of them, I think Hinson might have the most potential outside of Hurst if he commits to TE.

we've obviously got Blazevich as a Senior this year who is a likely top 5 TE NFL draft pickup in 18.
I would doubt if he was drafted in the first 4 rounds.

as far as Eason goes its going to come down to developing Leadership, Touch on those short passes, and more accurate deep balls. Also he has to read the defense quicker and make better decisions. Also our WR not dropping1/2 the shite thrown to them and our Oline not being a hot dumpster fire wouldn't hurt.
OK. Sounds like he's almost there.

I would tend to agree, probably mid-late 4th pick at best (barring some ridiculous outburst of production in his Sr. season coupled with a great combine), but in the last several drafts, there have been between 4 and 8 TEs selected in the first 4 rounds, so at 5th best prospect currently for 2018 (WalterFootball's rating, not mine) he's still got a good chance to be drafted prior to round 5. Year to year changes in draft profiles, positions of need, etc. are tough to predict, but with last year being a light year (only 4 selected), might be back on the upswing.
If Chaney actually figures out a way to get the TEs actively involved and productive this year, that would be a big boost for him (and help make the case for whoever our top TE target will be in the 2018/19 recruiting classes). Ultimately, someone has to start catching balls for Eason, and if it's not going to be the WRs, the TE talent that we have is criminal to not figure out a better way to utilize.
Also, to the cocks in this thread... A little rational discussion on tRant... who'd have thunk it. In agreement to the poster who said that if I just take the starting 2 it's likely a push or pretty close to it. At least until I see how Nauta looks in year 2.

Eason will be the SEC's Ryan Leaf....

SCAR will never beat Eason, so who cares if Eason is the #2 pick of the draft, gets hooked on blow and spends time in jail. Sounds like a hell of a ride

Yeah right. Bentley had a decent year last season but I don't believe he will end up being as good as eason in the long run. They were freshmen last year, lets see how they both develop and then make an assesment. Give me eason all day everyday if I had to choose between the two though. Jmho.

Keep shitting on etling. He got thrown into a tough situation las year. I expect him to improve and be a good qb for lsu this season. I kinda see a resemblance between him, matt mauck and Matt flynn in alot of aspects of his game. He had a decent year last season and he will be better this year.

Kirby sold out for Chaney so Pittman can beef up the o line

Basically this. Kirby brought in Chaney to bring in Pittman and revamp the OL. It also reassured Eason that we would not switch to a spread option or other system that would not fit him well.
Now if only he could call a decent game...

A supposed Tech fan calling people dorks. That's rich.

Eason could be great if his passes weren't one second late and ten yards off target.
