Eason is better imo. We will see who improved more though.

I do like our WRs and TEs that we have now - I'd put them up pretty much against anyone's.

You didn't get any more sane in your absence. The only WRs that are any good (maybe) are the two FR who haven't even played yet, and Deebo and Edwards. If that's as good as anyone, there is some pretty sub-standard WR play going on. Hurst is a good player.

Stidham> Fitzgerald> Bentley> Hurts> Eason

Glad we can reach a consensus

Does anyone really care about the dime store analysis from the ginger idiot from Alabama? This from a guy who claimed he was more NFL ready than Cam Newton. Did he even last two years in the NFL?

Eason has to get better and I expect he will. If he doesn't he won't be the QB.

You talking about Bentley? He's from the Upstate in SC. I didn't see him call himself NFL ready though, but that's pretty fantastic. He also said they'd win a National Championship while he was there.

He's talking about Greg McElroy.

LOL ... thanks y'all. Yeah, figured I had better travel to see the Gamecocks play while I had a chance in this lifetime. Once we got on a roll I was afraid to log on and post for fear of jinxing them.

I'll fill y'all in on everything on the Gamecock board. Have seen and heard some interesting things since 14 February. Plus I need y'all to fill me in on the Spring Game.

The two freshmen you are referring to I guess are O'tre and Shi Smith, to go along with Deebo and Edwards?

Yeah, I'm pretty confident in having four really good ones and another three serviceable WRs. Plus we've got three or four very very serviceable TEs/utility/slot-back types.

Bentley will have more than enough targets to throw the ball to this fall ... provided we establish a running game Nland our OLine does their job.

Our OLine is going to be much improved this coming season. If for no other reason than better coaching, more instilled confidence and a better scheme that puts them in a better position to be successful.

Our offense has a chance to be good.

Bentley is going to be a fine QB and I've been saying for months that Roper loves Scarneccia? as a backup.

UGA is going to be very good on offense this year as well provided they've corrected the same deficiencies we had to correct .... although they were already set at RB.

Our offense can be really good or suck it up again. Hopefully smart can rid us of the UGA choke curse. Btw Carolina has better receivers than UGA, samuels and Edwards are both clutch. Ridley and godwin will be good this year for us and hopefully Gibbs will be a rising star.

Personally, I think Bentley is the better QB. He has the mobility and the body to be able to take hits. He is a very strong leader and has the mental ability to lead, which is something I did not see from Eason last year. I can easily see Bentley being the first overall pick in two years due to mobility and better accuracy then Eason. I think Eason will be good if he can grow up and learn to lead.

You are out of your mind. He will be lucky if he's drafted at all. Far more likely he will be a grad assistant somewhere. He's not nearly mobile enough nor does he have the arm strength.

So I see a 4.9 40 time for Eason and a 4.8 for Bentley. Bentley can throw a catchable ball 50-60 yards down the field and I've seen him deliver a strike 35 yards down the field while rolling to his left. Eason may have a better arm but Bentley is regarded as having an excellent arm as well.

Carolina probably stronger at WR, UGA stronger at TE. Until Chaney proves that he intends to utilize the TEs in a meaningful capacity, I'm not sure I'm willing to count on high productivity from those TEs though. Nauta had a nice freshman season, but could and likely should have had more opportunities to contribute given the shortage of talent at WR.
