If we aren't, then we're really damn close. #1 in football, top third in both basketball and baseball historically, #2 in gymnastics, top 2 is softball, near the top in men's and women's golf, etc.

11. LSU- 602
12. Auburn- 554
13. Georgia- 548

You using bleacher report rankings is beyond laughable. Any retard off the streets can write articles on that site. There is a bammer poster here that everyone makes fun of named Larry the Golfer that I believe used to write articles on that site.

The only advantage you hillbillies have over Auburn historically is conference championships and that is because you spent most of your existence in a shite conference

I beg to differ. Alabama is not in the Top third in either basketball or baseball.

We all know that basketball and baseball programs are judged by post-season success.

Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, LSU, and Florida are way ahead of Alabama in basketball. Tennessee is arguably ahead of Alabama as well (20 tournament appearances to bama's 19).

That puts Bama #7 out of 14. That is not top third.

As for baseball... LSU, Florida, S. Carolina, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Missouri are surely ahead of Alabama. That puts Alabama #8 out of 14 at best. You could argue that Ole Miss and Georgia are very close if not ahead of Alabama as well. Georgia at least has a national title and one additional college world series trip.

Oh yeah, winsipedia and college football data warehouse are two websites specifically dedicated to the history of college football. Both sites rank Auburn well ahead of Arkansas.

Winsipedia ranks Auburn 14th all time and Arkansas 28th. College football warehouse ranks Auburn 13th all time and Arkansas 23rd

What about ESPN?

Also, the SWC had a better winning percentage against the SEC then any major conference, other then the Big East and the Big-12.

This is flawed logic if I've ever seen it.

So because Alabama happened to play in the SEC longer than Arkansas, that somehow makes Alabama the better basketball program?

Arkansas has 30 NCAA Tournament appearances to Alabama's 19.

Arkansas has been to the Final Four six times to Alabama's zero.

Arkansas has a national championship. Alabama obviously does not.

Are you really going to try to claim that Alabama is a better program than Arkansas because the Tide won a few more SEC basketball tournaments when Arkansas didn't join the league until 1992?

Same goes for Mizzou. Missouri has 25 NCAA Tournament appearances to Alabama's 19.

And while Florida may have fewer tournament appearances, are you going to ignore their two national titles and FIVE Final Fours?

So exactly how do the SEC programs rank all time in terms of both baseball and basketball? I'd like to see an order listed out.

Tier 1: class of their own

Alabama

Tier 2: all been to multiple championships in the last 10 years

Auburn
LSU
Florida

Tier 3: on the cusp of reaching the title

Georgia
A&M
Tennessee

Tier 4: would take a miracle

Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss St
Mizzou

The teams aren't in order in the tiers

Chill the frick out. If I thought that, I wouldn't have said we were in the top third, I would say we were #3.

So you are saying that Alabama has a better basketball program than Missouri, Florida, and LSU?

NCAA Tournament Appearances
Kentucky- 54
Arkansas- 30
Missouri- 25
LSU- 21
Tennessee- 20
Alabama- 19
Florida- 17

Final Four Appearances
Kentucky- 17
Arkansas- 6
Florida- 5
LSU- 4
Georgia- 1
Mississippi St- 1

National Titles
Kentucky- 8
Florida- 2
Arkansas- 1

Based on this criteria... which lets face it, making the Tournament and how a team performs in the Tournament is all that really matters in CBB... I would rank the teams of the SEC like this:

1. Kentucky
2. Arkansas
3. Florida
4. LSU
5. Missouri
6. Tennessee
7. Alabama

But you are saying Alabama is #3, correct? And it all boils down to SEC Tournament (created in 1979) championship titles? LOL.

Now give me your rankings for baseball.

anybody claiming arky or A&M are even close to aubie is an idiot. its fricking laughable, especially trying to use bleacher report or some guys opinion on espn.

take a look at cfbwarehouse who have by far the most accurate all time ratings

auburn is 13th
A&M is 20th
Arky is 23rd

if you go off the last 50 years the disparity is even further. Last 25 years and the gap grows further, last 15 is even worse.

A&M and Arky trying to use their success before Vietnam is laughable.

Auburn can still suck a fat dick though

Auburn had 1 more natty, 7 less conf champs, 1 more heisman, and 30 more all time wins than A&M.

The sec exposure and just plainly as a differentiator from other Texas programs has changed its path exponentially.

The ranking is for the program's going forward. To put them in the same tier isn't a stretch at all.

Check what I posted above. The only one that put Auburn ahead of Arkansas was released last year. As I noted, Auburn will probably pass Arkansas in the ESPN rankings when/if they're updated. Historically, however, Auburn is not in a different tier from Arkansas.

No one should reasonably put Arkansas in the same tier as Auburn.

I agree. Before the sec move is probably have put Arkansas ahead of auburn. They've really struggled overall since '92.

The sec move killed Arkansas' Texas pipeline, and has had the opposite affect for A&M.

Yoy keep ignoring the fact that Auburn's advantages over A&M are greater than any conference team besides Alabama and Tennessee have over Auburn. Your original rankings are bullshite on that basis alone

Your claim that Aggie is greater or even the same is especially bullshite when you consider Auburn has accumulated their stats against the 3rd toughest schedule in the history of college football according to college football warehouse. Aggie has only played the 22nd toughest schedule

Yet were 4-1 head to head, and A&M's resources/alumni base just became elite in the past 10 years. Couple that with what the sec move has done for the program.

We're obviously in the same tier right now, with Yall being higher in that tier.
