That looks about right. I might flip Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Since college football warehouse is dedicated to college football history, I would take their opinion over yours. They say A&M is much, much closer to being Ole Miss. You are only 82 points ahead of them. You are almost double that amount of points (162) behind Auburn.
I would take their ratings over winsipedia since they include strength of schedule. Any ranking system would be bogus without it. Winsipedia also includes irrelevant factors like NFL draft picks and number of all Americans.
Just remember that the CFDW is one person's random site.

Kind of like you using conference championships to determine who is better because it is one of the few categories that favors you. Forget that the teams didn't play the same competition.
I believe Texas has more conference championships than Alabama. I guess this means Texas has a better program , huh?
However, we do that when all 3 programs have played in the same conference you have the same number of conference championships as Ole Miss and less than Auburn

That's like Monopoly money bro
Y'all weren't in the same conference until 2012 though.

Not surprised you are dumb enough to respond to my post and ignore the original post ranking Florida on the same level as Bama and LSU. That is probably the biggest bs post in this entire thread. Florida is probably the 6th out of the big 6 historically and God knows they are nowhere close to being on the same level as Alabama

You do realize that we're ranked above Auburn in your precious CFDW rankings, right?

He's been championing the CFDW rankings all thread long not realizing that we're ranked ahead of Auburn.

I would take their rankings over any other I have seen, but that doesn't mean they are perfect. I would include conference championships as long as you balance it out with strength of schedule to show the difference in difficulty between the conferences.
If you truly count all time going back to when teams first started playing football in the 1890's, Florida has the fewest conference championships among the big 6 by a fairly wide margin

Surely you're not bringing up SIAA championships
ETA: And it's not a wide margin... it's 12 vs. 8 (11 if you count the probation titles)

They ranked Vandy 41st. Most rankings have Vandy near the very bottom, which I don't agree with, but 41st? That's only 6 spots behind Clemson.
Oh, and South Carolina is 61st.

Why not? Alabama counts national championships from that time and most every other conference claims league championships from that time. Every team obviously counts wins and losses from that time. The SEC teams that won them generally list them on their official website
Posted on 7/6/15 at 11:11 pm to auburnphan23
Because it wasn't really a conference, not in a modern sense. It was like 20 something schools and there were only 3 or 4 conference games. The Big Ten and Big 8 existed in their (near) modern state at the time so you can't really count them the same.

If you count probation titles, I guess Auburn should claim 93. We had the best record that year and beat Florida head to head
Auburn and Alabama also finished with the same number of losses in either 71 or 72, but bama won the conference title by themselves because they played and won one extra conference game. Seems pretty odd to me.
