A&M doesn't think the West is so tough. 5-1 against the West right out of the box. Maybe you guys can try again to initiate them properly in 2013.

Florida continues to embarrass the conference with horrible losses to Big 10 teams and getting blown out by Louisville in the Sugar Bowl...

Is there someone that doubts this?

When we have bowl representatives lose to Northwestern by two TDs, it is thrown in to doubt, yes.

Not sure if you are serious. Florida is the only SEC team that finished top 10 in football and basketball.

There shouldn't be any LSU fans talking shite about another team's poor bowl performance. Besides, the more important win for them last year was easily FSU. That was a bigger win than beating Lville would have been anyway.

The best? No doubt. Far away the best? Nah.

2013 ... both divisions pretty close

BAMA
UGA, UF, SCAR ( TIE)
TAMU
LSU
OM, VANDY(TIE)
AU, ARKY, MSU, TENN, MIZZ(TIE)
UK

so if it is the West it's because UK needs alot.

5 out of the last 6 national championships says far and away. What world do you live in?

Honestly, the East is looking like it might be better this season. The West has nothing after the top 3.

What?

Alabama and A&M will be the two top teams in the conference.

1. Alabama
2. A&M
3. LSU & Florida
5. South Carolina
6. Georgia
7. Ole Miss
8. Vanderbilt
9. Arkansas
10. Auburn
11. Tennessee
12. Mizzou
13. MSU
14. Kentucky

This was Northwestern's 6th bowl game in a row. Has aTm been to 6 in a row? You may have but I honestly don't give a shite. This isn't the Northwestern of the 90's

Technically, we were 2-1 against the West, since you can't consider what we did to Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Auburn as anything less than vile and sadistic.

You mean the Northwestern that won the Big Ten in 1995, and shared the Big Ten title in 1996? THAT Northwestern?

Not to mention the Northwestern that was riding an embarrassingly long bowl LOSING streak until miss. st. came along......

Yes, and it's missouri's fault.

ETA- if we got AnM and you got Mizzou, it would be the East that is the strongest.

SEC West (Preseason)

Bama - Top 1-3
A&M - Top 3-8
LSU - Top 7-16
OM - Top 14-22
MSU - Top 23-32
Arky - Top 32-40
Aub - Top 33-45

SEC East (Preseason)

Florida - Top 5-14
Georgia - Top 6-16
South Carolina - Top 8-18
Mizzou - Top 26-35
Tennessee - Top 27-36
Vanderbilt - Top 29-40
Kentucky - Top 45-

Actually they're pretty even:

SEC West has 3 that could make the preseason Top 10, 4 that could make the preseason Top 15, 5 that could make the Top 25.

SEC East has 3 that could make the preseason Top 10, maybe 4 that could make the Top 25.

At the end of the day they weren't anywhere close to a top 25 team and they rocked State. Arky and Auburn were embarrassingly bad. State wasn't far behind.
