Cotton Bowl is a great bowl - however, the little 10 have expressed displeasure at the idea of playing A&M so it all works out. I'm sure some other BCS-quality team (UA, UGA, LSU) will beat the crap out of the little 10 representative.
A&M will have to settle for a trip to Orlando, and shellacking a B1G team instead. Such is life.

Is the SEC/A&M ducking Horns in Cotton Bowl?
NO. The Cap one has 1st pick. Who would YOU take??? A EXCITING Johnny Football or a rather boring LSU team. Even though I think a Mich-LSU matchup would be real cool.

Bama played in The Cap One January 2011...we curb stomped Michigan State 49-7. Cap 1 is a good bowl...

LSU vs Michigan would be the more intriguing match-up.
Les Miles, Michigan man, passed up the job twice.
LSU and UM have never faced each other.
Les Miles versus his Alma Mater. You know he'd make quality television leading up to this game.
LSU versus Texas? who cares. TAMU vs Texas is more intriguing.

The capital one bowl is garbage. It on during the day with tons of other bowls and no one gives a shite. Stadium and surrounding areas are terrible. The cotton is by far the better bowl, regardless of pecking order.

thats funny cause all of you coonasses had a different opinion of the cap one bowl about a week or 2 ago

I have been to both and the cap one blows. If you go you will see for yourself. Cotton is better.

Cotton's venue and accommodations > Cap1's
Cap1 > Cotton in pecking order & $$$
Almost a toss up for me - especially if we had a change to take down the sips in Arlington, but I'll be ok w/ taking down Mi.

I do think its funny all these Texas folks are claiming something in Florida is better than something in Texas.
This is painful. Just moronic.
Should we wish for the Alamo Bowl, too? How about the Meinike? I mean, they're in Texas, right? WTF.
Here's the run down:
Cap 1 $$ > any non-BCS $$
Cap 1 SEC Selection > every bowl not named Orange, Rose, Fiesta, or Sugar.
This is the extent of the discussion.
That the Cotton Bowl is played in Jerry World is irrelevant. It simply does not matter. Whatever nostalgic feeling you get when envisioning the Cotton Bowl is inconsequential. They won't have the opportunity to select A&M. That's because the better bowl has dibs.
Just terrible shite. Just awful.

Absolutely. Don't give a shite who picks first. CB is a better venue, typically has a great matchup, and is a better bowl.

I kept going back and forth on what I want, and I thank God it's not up to me, but I think I've accepted what my heart of hearts wants... I want the whiny burnt orange pansy tea sipping mother frickers from austin. Cap one would be great, but I don't thinks there's much difference in prestige, and the ultimate explanation point to the season would be to have Johnny fricking Football and KDS to run roughshod all over their asses in front of the entire damn State, the Country, and in front of every star athlete 15 years old and up. I want to embarrass them, I want all of their fears and dark thoughts turn into reality at the hands of our men. I want to beat them so bad, that they knee jerk into (more) piss poor decisions that set those puny little 40 acres back a decade. I want to taste their tears.
That being said, it would be nice to skull frick Michigan if thats what plays out.

If you're in the market for less money and a neat stadium, I'd agree, it's much better.
Did you know it's in Dallas?

Typical aggy logic going on in this thread i see. The Cotton Bowl and Cap One bowl are virtually the same dipsticks. Only if you're a team like A&M that hasn't won anything do you care about which of the 2 you go to because its the best bowl you've almost ever been in for the last 15 years. So I guess i understand.

More like we are just excited to go to a good bowl that we never have been to before, dipstick.
Also sorry you coonasses have to go to the Peach, but hey there is always next year.

Why would LSU fans have to make themselves feel better? We beat you and your midget qb at your guano smelling dump of a stadium. Your boy also had 0tds and 3ints.
Have fun getting shot outside the stadium in Orlando.

First off, frick you, sip. Second, since you're such a fricking genius, what should the A&M leadership do to earn your approval? Turn down a Cap One invite for the chance that the we get the sips in the Cotton? If you haven't heard, lobbying is going on by the sips to avoid this match-up.
