I personally don't give a shite about ratings. That is ESPN's business.

I care that ESPN needs ratings for the Cap Bowl, which means pimping Johnny until all the votes are in so that they can sell that game as the one with the Heisman winner in it.

Still, if Cotton is so great than why does Cap One pay more and pick first?

Look, you can choose not to listen to our firsthand accounts and experiences from the capital one if you like, but don't complain to us when you are disappointed after.

Sorry Ags. No matter who picks first or pays more, the Cap One Bowl does indeed suck.

Yeah, ESPN didn't mention DMAC hardly at all when he was playing Wisconsin in the Cap One bowl, they were swinging off Troy Smith's nuts.

ESPN is going to nut swing off of who they want, does ABC/ESPN have the BCS NC game this year? Teo will be in that if you want to pay that angle...

Cap One > Cotton
Also it's nice to play Michigan for a change.

The initial argument though was that the SEC probably told him that because TAMU is going to already be picked by the time the Cotton picks.

Arguing which one is more of a "joy" to play in is an entirely different discussion.

1. Cap One picks before the Cotton, which is why the Ags won't be available.

2. Which is a more enjoyable experience is a separate issue. One I cannot weigh in on because I've not been to the Cap One Bowl, but that doesn't change the fact that the Ags won't even be an option for the Cotton because they pick after Cap One.

Not even a lie, I recall last year there was like two other bowls with SEC teams playing at the same time as the Cap1 bowl.

Because aggy thinks because Johnny is in the Cap1 game it means non stop hype. Dmac was in this game in 06.

They are forgetting ABC/ESPN also has the MNC game Teo will be in like Smith was in 06.

Make sense?

It's mostly Arky and LSU fans just trying to make themselves feel better.

Cotton Bowl actually has better ratings than the Cap One bowl.

ESPN does advertise the Cap One "bowl week" more. But the actual game ratings aren't great. And they can't touch the Cotton.

The stadium there is a pile of shite and the location is an excellent place to get mugged. But, Disney world will be fun for the kiddos.

This is a chance for A&M to play in a traditional SEC bowl outside of Texas, which I think is a good move.

I don't think there is a single Big-12 school that scares ANY SEC team, period.

Actually that reminds me of another thing I hate about the Cotton Bowl. It's on Fox. When we played LSU a couple years ago it was like the Bowl didn't exist to ESPN even though it was clearly the best Non BCS matchup. The Cap One OTOH gets a ton of buildup and hype.
