To be fair, he is an Ohioan.

Not anymore. Bo Schembechler was born in Ohio. So were Jim Harbaugh, Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson, and Dan Dierdorf. Many of Ann Arbor's reasons for success came from Ohio. We don't claim any of them.

Arkansas vs Texas A&M FTW.

Two teams with a combined national championship drought of 127 years.

Seems legit

OSU v. Michigan hasn't had any national championship implications in a number of years. (unless you count the fact that OSU couldn't lose to Mich last year and still be in the hunt)

doesn't matter

the point is the vitriol from that fan base makes the IB look like LSU vs Tulane

Are you implying she is not a real Wal Mart Wolverine?

Not my pic, but I have been in Wal Mart's in Michigan and seen the species in real life. Have seen my share of gravitationally challenged Bucknuts in Ohio Wal Marts too so it is not a 1 sided gig.

I'm not implying anything. That is how your picture makes me feel.

I think Wal-Mart is the common theme, not the state.

better is a pretty broad question

More relevant to winning conference title? - Maybe, at least until auburn gets back in form

More relevant nationally? - Probably not, at least not until the Bama "dynasty" actually falls. OSU has less wiggle room in big 10

More relevant historically - Yes

More important to respective fan bases and region - Yes. OSU really doesn't have any other real rivals. Michigan has MSU and maybe ND previously, but both were no where near as important as OSU to them.l Bama has TN, Auburn has UGA.

All in all, OSU Michigan is a more all-consuming rivalry to the fans involved so maybe it's fair to categorize it as better

Yes. Auburn/Alabama went 40 years without playing eachother. OSU and UM would never do that

You deliberately left out the first part of my sentence there.

If an Alabama fan and an Auburn fan walked into a bar without their school colors on and just got into a non-football conversation, they would be able to get alone swimmingly. That wouldn't happen with OSU/Michigan fans because they are separate demographics of people. They don't have the same values

this may be the dumbest post in all 8 pages! have you ever been to ohio or michigan? Both states are complete dumpsters. Y'all act like you live in high society. If you took out cleveland and cincinatti your state is as back woods as Alabama is. There is not a sign of life between pittsburgh and cincinatti. nothing

as for the rivalry. They are not even comparable. Its like saying filet mignon is as good as pork and beans. One rivalry is separated by state boarders, the other is people living amongst one another. Y'all talk about the football game in the fall, in Alabama we talk about that game 365. Beating each other means everything.

Also there is respect in the rivalry. y'all have none. You can't even say Michigan or Ohio State and aren't supposed to wear blue or red. shite is just so dumb. Its like red sox yankees. That rivalry sucks. Yeah they want to beat each other, but theres no hatred. People in NY aren't talking about the Yankees on street corners in january.

Oh and on top of that were just better at football then ohio st and michigan are. We got better players, and produce better players.

So take that, you may have a greater population to show more people care about your game, but those are just amateurs. The real rivalry and real football is in the south. the knowledgeable people in the sport understand that

Just ask yourself this question. How many times over the last 10 years has the OSU vs Michigan game mattered? Now ask yourself that same question about Alabama vs Auburn
