What argument? I just hit you with all the data needed.

An arbitrary points system selected from randomly selected stats isn't hitting me with any data that I need. Like I said, just say the word and we can have that argument.

Hmm...I didn't know this was a B1G forum. I'll have to double check.

Ohio St. Vs. Michigan better rivalry?

It depends on the year and the respective teams record until the rivalry game.

The question should really be, "Is the Ohio St. Vs. Michigan Game a bigger rivalry game nationwide?"

Yes. Just travel around the country. Both teams have a huge alumni and fan base. Most of those fans and former alumni moved away from the Mid West "Rust Belt" years ago to live in the South East, South West and Pacific North West.

Literally, the second and third words in the thread title are Ohio and State (abr).

I don't have a stake in either rivalry, but OSU/Mich is a better rivalry than the toothless sister bangers of Alabama. TV ratings don't validate a great rivalry. Alabama/Auburn is only entertaining because Alabama fans end up shooting each other for not being upset enough and idiots poison trees. It's the same reason that Jerry Springer had great ratings.

Nobody moves to the Pacific Northwest unless they have a lot of payola. The Southeast is popular for people who are in their golden years. There is not a ton of blue collar jobs that a family of four can live on down there. The Midwest is still a hotbed of manufacturing and industry, and it always will be. Rust belt is not even used anymore, so way to live in the past, gump. The southwest is eventually going to run out of fresh water, and they'll try and work a deal with Washington & Oregon. The Great Lakes area, while cold, is still very affordable compared to other parts of the US. Except for maybe rural Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. But again, what industry do those states even have?

- I have met many OSU and Michigan fans and Alumni in the Seattle area.

- The South East now is a huge player in Car Manufacturing. No unions and major tax breaks for car manufacturers.

- Manufacturing has made somewhat of a comeback in the Mid West but not near what it was. Look at Detroit.

- Yes you are right the Mid West is definitely an affordable place to live. I was in Minneapolis the other week and it is a great area.

- You now live in Florida. If the Mid West was so great then you should move back.

Have OSU fans killed their own after a UM win?

Destroyed a rival OSU landmark?

Etc.

Auburn and Bama is on a whole different level

Detroit and Cleveland are two of the worst cities in our country.

Not everyone has that choice. I will end up back up North one day.

The Midwest is great and in fact, in two more years, when I'm done with this construction site, I am moving back. I'm not a follower like most people you speak of, so I don't know their situation. I'm not speaking of the auto industry, but since you brought it up. Many southern employers in the auto industry have a high turnover rate because most, if not all southern states are right-to-work. They can get rid of you at the drop of a hat. I stand by my statement that the Midwest is doing just fine in terms of small niche manufacturing and alternative fuel research, medical research, facilities construction and aerospace development. I also stand by my statement that you need a lot of money to live in Seattle. And guess what? There are a lot more have-nots than there are haves.
