Was he responding to me saying that after tOSU-UM there are multiple rivalries who can make Top 5 claims?

that's kinda what I gathered. Apparently he disagrees with the notion that it shouldn't revolve around 1 sport.

Also, IMO, one sport does not a rivalry make.
Unless you're asking for the biggest rivalry in college football

I just disagreed with this while using an example. There are dozens more. Nothing personal. Just reasonable debate. I know that is foreign on this board, so I don't fault Cas for Cassin.

2014 IB 13.53 million viewers
2014 OS/Mich 8.23 million viewers

You're not even trying

Anyone posting something as stupid as "Alabama-Tennessee rivalry is better than OSU-Michigan" isn't trying. That was my point.

You boys are so fricking myopic it isn't even funny.

The rest of the country doesn't give a shite about Alabama-Tennessee, and these days probably don't even realize it's played every year because it's so fricking meaningless, and hasn't been nationally relevant in a generation.

I think hate-wise, Clemson and USuC should be in this conversation.

Historically, it's more comparable than the IB

This is wrong. Do you know what myopic means? You're myopic for only looking at recent history. For decades, it was essentially a two-team league

The rest of the country didn't give a shite about the Iron Bowl during much of the 2000s. Bama-UT was relevant in 2009. If we're gonna look at how many times it was nationally relevant throughout history and "the rest of the country gave a shite" Bama-UT will beat out the IB

Not really surprised by the answers here. In Alabama, the Iron Bowl is bigger. Everywhere else, it's The Game. I'd agree with that.

Not true. Harvard-Yale isn't that important anymore.

I like them both and watch them both annually. I haven't been in the heart of Bama/Auburn so I won't judge that since it can't be fair

When I was at OSU, OSU had just started turning the tides again so it was fierce. I think the last decade has made younger people not understand it again

What makes OSU/Michigan so hateful is how different their fans are. Auburn and Alabama fans I feel like if they weren't wearing tshirts supporting one or the other you could see them hanging out together. Michigan fans are the most god awful people who think their shite doesn't stink. When they are good, it is just an abysmal time in life

You don't think AL and AU fans feel this way about one another?

And it's already been shown it gets better ratings throughout the country

You mean last year when it was a night game and OSU/Michigan was at noon and Michigan had a losing record?
