Think you could have won last year if you had him?

Is this what Les Miles will have to accomplish with LSU to silence his critics this year

Yes. There can't be any excuses this year. Everything is set up for them to be in the playoff.

sure he would just check out of the bad play calling into a quick passing game

but your response proves how stupid gumps are.

The fact that he still had critics after going 34-6 and winning a national title his first 3 years should tell you all you need to know. The majority of Tiger nation is fine with Les, however most of those folks don't frequent message boards. They do however call the school administration when something as stupid as last November takes place. The man has earned respect by winning 10.2 games a season over an 11 year span. He is responsible for all of that talent the critics scream about underachieving. If he wasn't a great recruiter and the team just occasionally had a top 25 class and averaged 7.5 wins per season, there would be fewer critics than he has now. Pretty ironic.

I think if Lsu wins less than 9 games or wins 9 and they are bad beats then Les gets the axe.

Ole Miss and Auburn celebrate that feat because they actually beat Bama. L5U rushes the field for beating Ole Miss.

We also celebrate SEC and national championships. I'm 45, and Ole Miss hasn't won either one of these in my lifetime, save for your measly half-West title in 2003 (and LSU beat you then for the better half, too). Even your little brother has played in an SEC championship game.

Here's a helpful hint: Get better at cheating.

It's not like many other teams have a great QB though, and since when in the SEC do you have a to have a great QB to win the conference? An Alabama fan should understand that better than anyone.
What applies to Alabama isn't universal to the rest of the SEC nor the country. Just because Alabama doesn't need a qb doesn't mean LSU doesn't either.

Les could win the west, SEC, playoff game and National title and that still wouldn't satisfy some LSU fans.

LSU beat your 2011 team in Tuscaloosa. With JJ. Even Jennings was 9-4 as a starter. One of those 4 losses was to Bama, but you guys needed OT to do it. LSU has done well without a good QB.

If we could somehow beat Bama by 3 possessions, that would silence all Miles' critics. It aint happening but it's true.

LSU won the West and SEC with Jefferson/Lee and the NC with Matt Flynn. Let's not act like Miles needs stellar QB play to win.

But that isn't the constant. Saban has proven that he can consistently win without an elite or stellar qb. He won more SEC championships without great qb play than he has with it. Yes, Miles can do it without, but the times he has are few and very far between

Saying Miles can't consistently win with sub-par QB play because he doesn't do it at the same rate as Nick Saban is fricking dumb. No one in college football wins at the same rate as Nick Saban, regardless of QB play.

Miles averages 10 wins over 11 seasons and has had above average QB play in 4 of them, at most. He knows how to win, as well as anyone not named Nick Saban, without stellar QB play.

Well isn't the topic about him winning the SEC? He has only done that twice. Miles has only had great QB play in 2012 and 2013 and couldn't get it done.

Didn't say he wasn't a good coach, I just pointed out to LSU fans that comparing Saban winning without a qb is not the same as everyone else. I think Miles will need better qb play to win the SEC and to get past Bama.

Which is as many SEC titles as any coach, except Nick Saban, in the last 20 years.

Also, he didn't have good QB play in 2012, at all.

Well, he's the closet thing to Saban in this regard and, again, has averaged 10 wins a year with sub-par QB play.

There's a reason I responded to you when you said he doesn't win "consistently". It's because that statement is nonsense.
