No but if there were 3 seconds on the clock, Auburn is 3-3 and probably done for year in terms of anything great. Quit acting like Les and Dural didn't lose that game and that Auburn won it. In the kick 6 you actually did something to stop a team from winning and found a unique way to beat them. Against LSU you got super fricking lucky.

What? Auburn outplayed LSU that entire game - they went up and down the field on them and then continued to do what they've done the past 2 yrs >>> peter out in the red zone, resulting in them having to settle for FG's instead of TDs.

They barely beat a bad L5U team.

Damn Gus finally got his head out of his @ss and let Lashlee take the reins. Good team.
Somebody high up in the Administration told him to step the frick away and let Rhett sink or swim on his own. Thusfar, it has made all the difference in the world compared to that Clemson offensive game plan. The offense is operating smoother, the sideline to field communication looks improved and the overall play calling flows better.

Still a lot of football left to play, but with that stout defense carry a heavy load, AU's offense isn't pressured so much.

Sorry I don't respect Gus's top 15 recruiting classes as much as I respect Les's top 5 classes.

He's not wrong. Aside from rushing yardage, AU pretty much handled LSU in every statistical category.

I'm curious how many people realize AU only had 50 more total yards on 16 more plays.

They won the game, but it's not like they dominated it in any way.

So what you're saying is you were insane prior to the season...

No sane Auburn fan would suggest that. Nor would they suggest Auburn has more talent either, but for someone to pick out one play for the reason Auburn won is stupid.

Missed opportunities on both sides that could have sealed the game.

However, like a lot of other LSU/Auburn games it was a tough contested game, and a narrow victory.

Top 5 recruiting classes every year > top 15 recruiting classes every year. Ergo, LSU has more talent on its team than Auburn. Sorry Aubies are too dumb to get that.

My quote

"The West will be between Alabama and Aubie"

yet who is shitting on me in here, LSU fans? Nope! A&M fans? Nope. Arky or Ole Miss fans? Nope just Aubies because they are so insecure that it doesn't matter how many compliments you give them, they'll still just bitch and moan and act insulted.

You're right though, from what I've seen against solid competition, Auburn definitely looks more like an 8-4 or 7-5 team now.

Sorry I gave your shithouse school any credit.

I agree on all of your points. I will also say that I think LSU and AU are both being written off too easily right now, and I didn't have much respect for AU earlier in the year. Lots of talent on both rosters.

They didn't dominate, but they were the better team that day and shouldn't have let it come down to a last almost second play.

My only argument was that the alabama fan was focusing on what might have been in that last second and outfitting what could have been with the rest of the game.

top 15 recruiting

Gus hasn't had one over 10. It's a stretch to say that the difference between a few spots in those rankings is a huge difference. Both teams have finished below those rankings in the past few years...

24/7 composite rankings
2013 LSU -4 spots
2014 LSU -4 spots
2015 LSU -2 spots
2016 LSU -6 spots

You make it sound like they are 2 and we are 14 every year.

The game was not in hand for AU, at any point. Acting otherwise is just plain wrong.

As bad an offensive game as it was, it was a close game down to the final second, literally.

I know, but it probably should have been. Or at least, much more in hand than it turned out.

Shocker.

There's nothing that comes even remotely close it supporting it though.

I never said it was a wide talent differential and I don't know all of Auburn's recruiting statistics, I just remember Auburn fans being disappointed in Gus's recruiting. So they've been recruiting better than I gave them credit for, so I apologize, but I still give LSU a slight talent edge for right now.
