They are just as bad as LSU.

Auburn should have a much nicer season. I'm talking about talent. If Aubie really thinks they've been recruiting as well as LSU, they are fricking crazy. LSU had to play its first 4 games with a lame duck coach and even though I don't think they are as good as some of their fans think they are, that doesn't mean LSU isn't much improved without Les. It's the little things. Football is a game of inches.

The West though, will come down to Bama and Aubie, A&M just doesn't have the D to keep up.

I'm just teasing you. Honestly I think they beat Arky badly, lose to Ole Miss in a close one, but they will not stop Chad Kelly. Then the Bama game honestly is hard to call because Bama usually plays awful in that game if Aubie is good but not great. I hope they don't lose again till that game.

So if they beat Bama 10-2, lose to Bama 9-3.

If they lose to OM, they'll already have 3 losses. The only way they get to 10-2 is if they win out. They already have the losses to Clemson and Texas A&M

Oh shite yeah they will, that's funny. Because the Clemson game was OOC, I forget to count it when I'm arguing SEC.

Okay so 8-4 if they lose to Bama, and 9-3 if they beat Bama.

I'm in here talking football.

I'm sorry, it can be entertaining on a Friday afternoon to see someone get proven wrong so blatantly and then just choose to not respond out of embarrassment.

Great well even though I wasn't wrong that LSU fans said all last week "anytime, anywhere" and Alleva postured on a similar notion I've now let it go, because I'm a grown man, maybe you should do the same and quit posting in a thread that you're not even involved in.

A- LSU fans didn't say that. We said exactly what Joe said.

B- you didn't say LSU fans, you said LSU AD

here's your exact quote

How about the fact that your AD said anytime, anywhere

Let it go. Man everyone knows Alleva was trying to say that shite. "We've made every effort to play this game." I have let it go and I am not about Alleva posturing on an "anytime, anywhere" sentiment.

Except in Gainseville on November 19th.

Still not wrong, but damn dude you're really bordering on the obsessive. Let it go, dude "It's only football" right?

Don't get me wrong - they win out, they still win the West. If they lose to OM, though, winning all the other games won't be enough. They'll have to hope Alabama drops another SEC game (Tennessee or Texas A&M). Of course, if Alabama loses to A&M and Auburn, A&M has to trip up in that scenario as well. Then we could have a three way tie. Unless A&M loses to Ole Miss as well, in which case they would likely win the West. Or we could have a 4-way tie.

The only teams at this point that are mostly out are MSU and Arkansas, but as we just pointed out, two losses are still feasible for winning. They just have to do the near impossible and win out, while hoping for 2-losses or more to everyone else.

Now, the weird part - at 5-3, it's possible to have a 7-way tie.

Imagine the uproar if every West team went undefeated against the rest of college football, but the West division had every team go .500 against the rest of the division.

To get this thread back on track, yes AU right now is the most underrated team in the SEC. A lot of that has to do with potential. If AU continues on its current trajectory, then we could be 9-2 going into the Iron Bowl.

AU's #s to keep in mind
Scoring offense by points - #44 - this should be higher except for our early season troubles in red zone. If we continue to improve, this will certainly go up.
#10 - Offense/rushing yards per game
#10 - Defense/opponents scoring ppg

Off weekend this week.

10/22 - Arkansas at home - Ark will be coming off two tough games against Alabama and Ole Miss and will be traveling to JHS. It's a night game, so that's definitely in our favor. Honestly, we should've beaten Ark last year. For those talking about how much White has improved, he was brilliant in last year's game. Our receivers dropped 11 passes. Ark is #78 in rushing D/yards given up. We should be able to pound them with the 1,2 K. Johnson/K. Pettway rushing attack

10/29 - OM is undoubtedly one of the best teams in the SEC. Kelly was the most experienced QB too. However, they're giving up a lot of yards and are #91 in scoring defense/points per game. #97 in rushing D/ypg

11/5 - Vandy - should be a W based on Vandy's offensive woes this year

11/12 - UGA - #71 scoring offense/ppg, #21 in rushing D/ypg - Based on eye test, we should win this game. Eason has shown flashes of brilliance, but I think AU loads box to stop run game and makes Eason beat us through air.

11/19 - AA&M - W

11/26 - Bama - I'll never discount AU in this game unless we're talking 2012 AU.

I believe AU has the best chance of winning the remaining games in this order:
AA&M
Vandy
Georgia
Arkansas
OM
Bama

No but if there were 3 seconds on the clock, Auburn is 3-3 and probably done for year in terms of anything great. Quit acting like Les and Dural didn't lose that game and that Auburn won it. In the kick 6 you actually did something to stop a team from winning and found a unique way to beat them. Against LSU you got super fricking lucky.

AU out played lsu the whole game. You are focused on one play without acknowledging that AU played better defense, offense (except for redzone) and special teams.

Where did I say LSU outplayed Auburn? I said they are more talented and stand by that. Doesn't mean they'll have a better finish, that's why Les got fired.

You have argued les and dural lost the game and that AU didn't do anything to win it. I actually quoted you in my response (look I did it again). It isn't hard to follow.

Their only losses are to teams with a combined record of like 11-0. WTF. They have a pretty decent team. Snowboard Cam is playing better than I expected. Damn Gus finally got his head out of his @ss and let Lashlee take the reins. Good team.
