They are quietly putting together a good season. Letting Lashlee call the game has greatly improved their playcalling. The defense is good and I'm impressed with their OL play. They're in a good place at 4-2 (2-1) and appear to have a favorable schedule until their showdown at Bama. Obviously, no one wants Bama right now, but I'll give them a fair shot. I can see Auburn contending for the SEC west.

Just trying to give this board some CPR. I think everyone is tired of the UF-LSU pissing match.

No one can stand against the mighty tigers.
Gus Bus has a new set of tires and is running smooth. They should be the favorite to take the west.

We will see over the next few weeks, our offense is slowing starting to come alive and our defense is very good this year.

They are the most improved team from last year to this year. I was sold on Auburn being a good team, before a lot of the Auburn posters on here.Their defense almost shut down Clemson. The most surprsing thing from them is how good White has become. He has a top 20 qbr and is top 10 in pass efficiency. They aren't Bama good, but are much closer than last year.

No we suck. If I change my stance on that then we actually start to suck so I'll just keep saying we suck.

I left out Sean White and how much he has improved. He should have been the clear #1 instead of the Gus 15 QB offense

At 23 in the AP poll, they are probably slightly underrated. They ought to end up in the top 15 if they finish strong. Not a team anyone should look forward to playing.

People say Ole Miss is the best 2 loss team in the country, because of who they lost to. Auburn lost to #3 and #6(ap wise). Ole Miss has lost to #1 and #14. Could Auburn be the best 2 loss team in the country? i said in my post that White's play is what surprises me the most. That isn't really true. It has surprised me, but not as much as Gus's ability to change his game plan based on the talent he has. I guess I thought he would stubbornly stick to the old offense, but he has adapted.

It will be interesting to see how Arkansas responds after the fricking they got last weekend. They follow it up with a tough road game on the plains.

i don't see it. I think the schedule so far has been favorable for them. Miss state might be the worst team in the entire SEC, they really lost the LSU game and they didn't do shite against the aggies. they will go 1 and 4 to close out the rest of the SEC season. They will face 3 QB's that are statistically better (Allen, Kelly, Hurts) than any they've faced all year. ;

who are they gonna beat?

Kentucky? I'm not so sure about that...

as far as Aubie is concerned; I have been impressed with them since game 1 against Clemson

The Clemson Tigers may be the best team in the country this year & I expected them to blow Auburn out of the water

Sure, Dabo should have kicked a FG; but the fact that they were a Hail Mary away from winning that game is impressive

so I agree with OP

I know that Bama is the 800 lb gorilla (or heffalump); but right now, outside of State, every team in the West is still alive, and not just in a "theoretical sense"

Will be interesting to see where things stand after Aub plays Ole Miss
