Ive only read the last page but could you have been any wrong. I guess Bama's 4 sec titles since 1982 would make a Bama fan all nastalgic.

You are absolutely right, my crimson glasses may have alterred my view of LSU's worth. Since the 20 year window I was talking about was 1963 ~ 1982
A very convenient window (barely misses 3 LSU SEC titles on one before the window and 2 after and 4 Auburn titles) despite in your previous post you talked about 2007. No school out of the three had an NC in that time period. Still though during that window LSU had 1 SEC championship, you catch Ole Miss' last SEC championship and Auburn had 0. At 1982 LSU had 5 SEC titles and 1 NC. Ole Miss had 6 (none since 1963) and no NCs and Auburn had 1 SEC title and 1 NC. I still fail to see where we would be behind either. NC>SEC championship.

While I don't know the term "nastalgic" I do know that with the exceptin of a small window in the early 1990's and a spike years every now and then, Alabama was an average to a little above average team in the 80's, 90's and early 00's. I also know that happens to be the same window in which LSU, UF and Auburn stepped up their game.

My parents picked the window so yes, it was convenient for me. The first Alabama game I ever went to was 1964 Alabama vs LSU. My father chose that game as he always thought (as I still do) that the Alabama vs LSU games were always the best fought/played games. The first time I remember a loss by Alabama was in 1969 and the loss was to LSU (that really messed up my weekend).
The games I always look forward to winning the most - UTk. The games I most enjoy watching the other team lose - Auburn. The games I look most forward to watching (or once upon a time playing in) LSU because of the huge hits and the great games they usually are.

I'm a bit unfamiliar with the SEC.
UGA is #3 all time in the conference behind Bama and Tennessee.

This is not totally right. You're listing all of AU's AA's but only UGA's consensus AA's. I couldn't find the list of AA's through 2011, but this NCAA document shows all the consensus AA's, 1889-2008.
Auburn probably has 66 total AA's, but up through 2008, only had 26 consensus. Georgia had 68 players selected as AA's Of those 68 players, 24 were consensus All-Americans, with some players winning multiple times to make 29.(in their wiki page).

I owe the two of you an appology. I was hoping to catch a couple of the LSU rantards that bash the "Gumps" for claiming old (pre 1960's) National Titles. They prentend history does not matter until you start messing with their LSU Tiger history.
The fact is, the SEC has a very strong history that is shared between several teams and it is rare that more than 2 or 3 of those teams are on a down cycle at the same time,
