What about conference titles won while we played in the same conference?

15-13.
Not really a huge gap.

You forget, aTm vs piggies when it comes to title wins you were both swimming in the same pool of TexAss teams for the vast majority of those titles (and all of them in the case of the piggies).

UGA is #3 all time in the conference behind Bama and Tennessee
No.
CFB data warehouse says LSU#9 UGa#11
Head to head says LSU over UGa 16-12-1
SEC titles UGa leads 12-11
All-time winning percentage says LSU by a nose
All-time national championships says LSU 4 UGa 2 although LSU only claims 3
All-time cumulative SEC standings probably have UGa slightly ahead, but couldn't find any current listing in a cursory search.

So what you're saying is this entire time that Auburn was claiming to be a nose ahead of UGA for number 3 in the SEC, in reality they have been closer to 6th or 7th?
And the plot thickens.

Uga is behind LSU historically and auburn for sure is. If LSU has another decade like the last one and TN continues to fail, LSU will take over the number two spot

Don't know where that wiki page got 66 from.
They list all of them a little farther down the page...not sure how the acronyms compare.

Up until the late 1980's there was the big 4 that included Auburn. In 1992 it became the big 6 when LSU and UF were added. So as I said, if you want to limit the discussion to since 1975, it is best to use the big 6 then everyone else as a 2 tier grouping.

In 1989 Auburn had 5 SEC championships and Ole Miss had 6, why weren't we in the big 4?

Interesting. It seems sort of sad that Aggie and yankee kitten are joining the party. Less matchups between the "Big 6". Granted 3 in each division is pretty cool, but the SEC needs to jump up to 9 conference games at some point. Or kick out Arky and Vandy at some point.

I think an even better question would be why LSU would be added to the big 6 in the 90s.

That timeline doesn't make any sense to me. Obviously Florida was getting rolling on a tremendous streak with Spurrier... but LSU had fallen off from their earlier relevance into a horrible horrible mess during the early 90s
