I also agree about the 4-year upswing. I think he's positioned himself perfectly to have what could be the best 4 or 5-year stretch in LSU history

Kevin Steele leading tIncline? I'll believe it when he stops being a shite coach

I've been wrong plenty of times before, but Id be willing to assume that even Lou holtz (present day) would look like a genius with the personnel we field.

And what exactly do you base that on? LSU has recently had very good defensive coordinators coaching said talent - Muschamp, Pelini, Chavis... how did the defense work out with Peveto coaching it?

It's a hypothetical. Google it (hypothetical).

Nobody wants your coach. If anything, most of those who've posted in this thread have complimented him.

We're quite happy with our own coach and aren't going to pursue yours, so there's no need for the hypersensitive insecurity so many of you hogs have displayed here.

Every fan base has a few idiots. 85-90% of us are happy and content to contend virtually every year and make the NC game at least once every 4 years.

What do I base what on? My assertion that lsu has elite defensive talent on roster?

My eyes. The stats. Reality.

You don't need to explain what hypothetical means to me, when it's my post that went completely over YOUR head. The previous post had mentioned Holtz coaching at LSU, and thus my post. Genius.

But please, explain to me what hypothetical means again, douchebag.

What do you base your assumption that LSU's talent will single handedly make LSU have a good defense, regardless of coaching? Outside of 2008, y'all have had elite defensive coaching ever since Saban came... and that was the year with LSU's worst defense during this stretch.

Nope! Kiffin would be a good hire. I'm surprised that Florida didn't hire Kiffin although I thing they made a great hire.
I think you're joking with this, but honestly, Kiffin could be a great hire.

The guy obviously knows his football- you don't just bullshite the Raiders, Tennessee and USC all into hiring him, just because you have a good last name and a nice smile. He's a top-notch offensive mind, and given his background with his dad, probably knows a ton about defenses too. He might have the best pure football mind on the Alabama staff.
I think his problem is that things came too easily for him, and he was too young and arrogant. He needs to be humbled, and have to earn what he gets.

At some point, Kiffin is no longer too young; and I think Saban can humble him (think of Bull Durham, the relationship between the young pitcher and the old cranky catcher). And then, Kiffin will be ready to take over somewhere.
