"Game on bitches." Cock fan.....you aren't even playing the same sport as Clemson. Get back in your lane. But congrats on that 1969 ACC championship. I hear the banner is still hung @ Williams Brice.

Ouch! Pretty much sums it up.

Lmao. Not the tune you all were singing during 5 in a row.

To Clemson losing 5 in a row to South Carolina is like losing to Vanderbilt or Wake Forrest 5 in a row. Its just unacceptable

Honestly I think it depends more on location. In the state, we hate each other. Out of state I've had friendly conversations with clemson fans.

Spend some time in the upstate of South Carolina and you'll understand why Gamecock fans hate Clemson. Their fans think that God himself is a Clemson fan and that he smiles only on Clemson. Hell listen to Dabo's speech at their championship parade.

They are the most hypersensitive folks around and they exhibit an "us against the world" mentality at the slightest of criticism. Just see Ben Boulware's comments about butt fingering.

Many of them sincerely believe that cheering for Clemson instead of the heathens in Columbia makes you a better person more deserving of good things. The smarmy jabs I've gotten from my Clemson family (none of whom went there btw) that go way beyond the football game make me root for Clemson to suffer in every way imaginable.

USCe's hatred of Clemson is so amusing. Used to live with two Clemson guys that were big sports fans and they didn't seem to reciprocate that hatred.

That's often the case. Hatred seems to roll uphill...it's truly a form of jealousy.

You would be wrong in this case. South Carolina and Clemson's hatred of one another dates back to post-Reconstruction politics in South Carolina. The South Carolina-Clemson hate was a microcosm for the political feud between Wade Hampton and Ben Tillman. Hampton represented the interests of the planter aristocracy whose base of power was in the Midlands and the Lowcountry and Tillman's power base was in the yeoman farmers in the Piedmont and Upstate.

It emanated from a political and cultural feud, some of the elements of which still ring true to this day, and was passed down from generation to generation. Not hard to understand really if you're from South Carolina or have lived here for a period of time.

Relax, man. It's a game. You and Rooster are going to have to give each other mouth-to-mouth if you don't calm down.
No one gives a shite about stuff like that but little bitches who go through life feeling they've been slighted. We grow up with connections to a school and go from there. I don't hate you because you went to USCe.

I was explaining the historical origin of our rivalry to someone obviously not from SC. That isn't melting. He said the rivalry was based on jealousy. That isn't accurate in the slightest.

I served with a Clemson fan and graduate. I can understand the hate. Dude was shaped like a pear but that wasn't why we called him a fruit.

What!? You mean an actual gay person went to Clemson?
I hope you're alright after having to work with him. That's really rough.

The flamboyant fahghotry of this guy wasn't what people didn't like about him. It was his superiority complex based on absolutely nothing but a grandiose and inflated sense of self worth.

It's the reason you're here, on an SEC message board, pandering for upvotes and affirmation of your perceived righteousness

Watch this TigerOnTheMountain ... ready?

Fire on the Mountain, as you know, was one of Marshall Tucker's biggest hits.

The Caldwell Brothers and George McCorkle were Gamecock fans.

Wait for it ...

Having an inflated sense of self-worth is fruity? Don't be a redneck homophobe like ol Rooster and then do the stupid laughing emoji.
Be like him and embrace being a disagreeable arse.

Oh, I'm here because Clemson is at the top of your mountain, and you don't like it, or me being here to remind you. Which makes it even better.
