Tennesee and LSU are loaded and it's personal this year. 2-2 imo.

Why is it personal this year and not in prior years? What makes this year any different than any other year?

exactly. I always think it's so dumb when a fanbase uses "revenge" as a factor for why they'll win that year, especially when they've lot multiple games in a row to the team.

"No guys, seriously...THIS year we'll be EXTRA pissed!"

I like it. Because if history is any indicator, this is primarily Lane Kiffin's call and it usually takes Lane Kiffin about two years before he starts alienating people. It would not surprise me to see Hurts making major mistakes and Saban not allowing Kiffin on the team bus as early as the Ole Miss game.

List of people and places Kiffin has alienated:

Pete Carroll
Al Davis ( OK not that hard)
Monte Kiffin (his Dad)
Pat Hayden
Alshon Jeffrey ( told him he would be pumping gas)
Everyone at UT Knoxville
The City of Los Angeles

I don't think Bama should be worried about who is the starter at the qb position because I think kiffen could make it work with either of the three. It's more about the scheme and how he will cater the game planning to each quarterback

frick you gumps are dumb. No you didn't. You started a guy who played QB in high school, was recruited as a QB, played QB as a freshman, made a change for one year to get playing time, and was moved back to QB after that. He was also a 5th year senior.

How long did it take Cam Cameron to start alienating you LSU fans? Some of your folks wanted Cam AND Miles run out on a rail about 9-10 months ago.

I never thought he would start someone who threw Two Interceptions to go with his two TDs. Shows that nobody is taking control.

well that article doesnt mention the one he ran. I know people who were there. I know he threw 2 picks, i was saying 1 came as time expired so i assume he threw it up for grabs. Barnett had 5 total turnovers, 2 picks that got taken back for tds, not just one like the article says...

Speaking for myself, about 9 months after he was hired. With Mettenberger, Landry, Beckham as well as the RB's ( Hilliard, Hill, et al) that we should have had any offensive problems.

That being said, Lane Kiffin has "special" talents when it comes to alienating people, he's a jerk who self destructs. Ask the Davis family...Al would have tried to kill him in younger years. There are people on the UT board that cannot mention his name without using m. f. as his middle initial..usually they use the full name. Pat Hayden could not wait to get rid of him. He doesn't just alienate people, he makes sure he burns the bridge as well

Whats your point? Are you saying he is gonna have a negative impact or something on us or what?

So his last pick was in a 2 min drill situation. So it was the very last throw with 0 on the clock. It was a hail mary to the endzone kind of thing. Hardly a normal pass situation.

And?

Lane Kiffin was put on a tight arse choke collar when he accepted the Bama job. He answers 100% to Nick Saban, and he knows it. If Kiffin wants to make an attempt to rehabilitate his coaching career then he will continue to do exactly what he's been doing for the last 2 yrs. He will shut his fricking mouth, and take notes from one of the best college coaches in the country.

"If" however, Lane wants to self destruct and alienate people in a concerted effort to further destroy any chance in hell of being a head coach again, then he will do so at his won peril. Rest assured Lane Kiffin damn sure won't be a liability to the program Nick Saban's built at Alabama.

We both know Saban won't allow him to have a negative impact on his team.

If Lane had even a tiny notion of trying to be a negative force for this team he would have shown his old colors many months ago. He better be busy taking notes from one of the best in the business if he wants to have a chance as a HC someday.

We started a converted RB at QB and still won the SEC and made the CFP. Trust in Saban

Stopped reading here. Far from being a freshman QB. I hate Kiffin, but he is a hell of a OC, not worth a shite as a HC. I personally thought with those two ego maniacs in Saban and Kiffin one would have killed the other, props to that not happening yet.

Well now KiwiHead knows the implosion is coming. Al Davis, the UT folks and Pat Hayden can't even utter Kiffin's name without a mother-fricker prefix.

Goo thing Kiffin isn't the head coach at Bama. He's got a pretty bad history as a head coach. On the other hand, he's got a pretty god track record as an offensive coordinator, which is all he is asked to do at Bama.

yeah, if there's one thing i've learned to worry about under saban, it's the threat of a running game not existing ... i mean, we've had soooooo many years where the run game was not a factor at all ... just worries me to death ...

You're right. The least important cog in the running game is the ball carrier. Bama could lose every back on their roster and they'd still have a good running game by converting a safety or a linebacker.
